Defo delaminated.
Either a defective tyre, or because she was on the motorway didn't notice that she'd got a flat (I only really notice when I get to a corner) and it massively overheated.
Not a blow out imho, which is supposed to be a catastrophic instant deflation.

If it had run fast and flat, I'm sure you'd see some blueing, and some little 'rolls' of rubber on the undamaged part.
Tubeless tyres don't - in my experience - blow out... even when someone tossed a bottle under my rear wheel in Wimbledon, and put a 3" gash in the tyre, the tyre went down slowly enough for me to stop under control. Tubes can split and then deflate almost instantaneously. That's seriously scary...

I had a blowout on my Triumph tt600 in yellow 
many years ago. Doing about 60/70 probs. It sounded like a bomb going off. One inch hole right through rear tyre and was flat in seconds. It did give me time in pull up without taking a tumble, which was nice.
Completely wrecked numberplate and indicators. The culprit was a great big bolt having a rest in the road, probably belonging to some farmer.
