He made it with "alternative Country" but has done everything from Full on Blue grass with the Del McCroury band to covering Breed by Nirvana, duets with Sheryl Crow. He wrote "my old friend the Blues" which the Proclaimers had a hit with...
He's worthy of his own thread really..

What a band! saw them a few times. first time was in at the Marquee when Gun Shy had just come out. One of the best gigs ever.
