Ooh! We have a bunch of cool aerospace history murals on Lancaster Blvd... unfortunately that part of town is pretty much a no-go area.

Shouldn't be difficult in the UK.
If you zip down the M1 at 57mph you can even get the police to take the pic for you

I haven't ridden it for ages, years, can't remember the last time, and there is a starting procedure, you need to tickle the carb and flood it with fuel, wheel it backwards in gear to get the massive piston to TDC, put the ignition timing to full retard, then put into neutral and kick it like your life depends on it.

Anyway, here she is in front of a ruin.

The temptation to ask "which is which" is overwhelming, but I shall struggle manfully to not do so....

The bike looks lovely....

Good point, that picture could have been taken anytime in the last eighty-five years.

They've both been around a while, although materials to fix that house up will be easier to come by than Rudge spares.
Aaah....now if you had chosen the noble Velo LE, you would have the backing of a club spares scheme that carries thousands of new and used spares.

There is a decent club, in fact there is more than one, but the problem is that they all seem to spectacularly dislike each other and the politics is so bad that I left. As soon as one lot get any spares in the other lot accuse them of being badly made, not to spec or even pinched
I think it's clubs in general, they all seem to attract people who'd rather bicker about a hobby than do a hobby.

I've ridden past seven or eight sets of rural roadworks today and literally not one of them had more than 4 traffic cones.

I considered nicking one and taking it back to one of the other places...

I've got 6 traffic cones at work until next week, when I get rid of them to the people who get to go in man holes instead of my colleague who is retiring.

Now that's what I call a hill... For further details, see my 'ramblings' thread in the Project bikes section. Give me a minute while I think of another challenge.

Yes, that was a bit of a stab in the dark. Looks kinda '50s/early 60s though.
