14 days for free. There's a plan :obscene-birdiedoublered:
Except I think you'd need to pay return delivery charges 😕
Send it back with shagged tyres after 5 trackdays :)

That could be a plan for me next year. Cheaper than hiring a bike :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Do you know what's wrong with it?
I’m currently sat in Burger King copdock. My dad can get it back to his house on the outskirts of Ipswich and I’ll AA back down to my house in Kent. Might take a look around the area while I’m hear to see if there’s any good bikes for sale.
Sorry, missed this post, if you want to borrow tools to fix the bike in Ipswich give me a shout, I've probably got everything you'd need, I live round the corner from Lings.

Well done on getting the FZ8, I assume the Yamaha dealers in Colchester is still Copes, they were alright when I last used them, but it was 23 years ago.

I offered to lend tools, I'm not touching that, it's horrible.

Years ago I had a problem with a brand new car and rejecting it isn't that simple, using it is acceptance and the dealer will refuse to take it back.

Yeah sounded like it was going to be sorted in his Dad's workshop. Although presume sorted as in the wheel bearings rather than it looking like it was off a fishing trawler

Thanks for the offer, I appreciate it. It’s in my dads workshop and he’s a classic car guy, so has everything I’ll need.

Haha. I bought this bike as a cheap all year round thing. It stays under a cover, but I’ve not washed it once In the year / 5000 miles I’ve had it. Never intended this to be a nice looking bike.

Totally amazing how folk overlook cleaning being a massive part of preventative maintenance.
If you'd have threated that bike with a paddock stand and soapy sponge once in a blue moon you'd have known the bearings were on their way out long before they failed and left you at the side of the road

Blackbirds are something else though right? I saw an S reg one the other day, honestly couldn't believe it was nearly 30 years old.
I still miss my Blackbird. It was freaking AWESOME!! For commuting, long distance, messing about on local roads and I did track it too!! (Did my first two or three TDs on so would like to have another go one day when I have some ability back!! LOL)

If I ever have garage space and money, I will be looking to add one to the garage for sure :D :D
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!! :bblonde:
