Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
fucking off from FB & coming back to the fold.
Have we got a 'how to lose 3 stone before Christmas' thread on here? I've achieved a personal best on 'You Fat Bastard' stakes, & that mostly over the last 11 weeks too.
You know that news report about it not being bog roll shortages now, but it is on trackie bottoms? That was me ...

Years ago, some celeb of the time said they went to their Harley Street doctor, expecting a prescription for tablets but, instead, was told:
"There were no fat people in Belsen."
Celeb was charged 15s for that. Sadly, it's a simple truth: eat less.
Bet you're back of to Fb now
Good to see you here

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
When I worked at McAfee they had a great shares scheme that was very tax efficient. The company owned the shares but we took any profit tax free. It was vested shares or summat. When Intel bought us out about 10 years, I made £21k in 30 seconds as soon as it was declared to the stock market. My boss who was very savvy on these things shouted around the office for everybody to sell. So we all did making huge profits. They dropped half way back by the end of trading that day
Anyway, I just got a letter from E*Trade who controlled all the shares to say that I still had some shares/investments. They had been auto-invested each year and are worth about a grand now Woo hoo !
But to temper this, Intel shares dropped 10% 2 days ago

Repairing and rehoming things I pull out of skips. If you want a bare pressure washer then look in the classifieds.

Can't work out if this makes me happy or BMP
My car has had a weird clunk/rumble from the front suspension for the past 3 years and 70,000 miles. It was particularly bad under braking a while back, to the point where the juddering made it hard to stop quickly.
It's been to the BMW garage twice and an independent garage twice trying to find the issue, to no avail. It has also had 3 sets of front discs.
Today, it finally failed the MOT on suspension joint wear

How can you sell something that you don't own?Yorick wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 10:36 pm When I worked at McAfee they had a great shares scheme that was very tax efficient. 'tis but a detail when you're in the murky world of shares and corporate finance.

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
Moved here last December, shower was crap, underpowered, had to run round to get wet. Had a pump fitted finally today. Transformed the showering experience!! Absolutely brilliant, worth every penny of my landlords money. Very pleased with the results.
Mick, off for another shower!!

Incredible Weeksy! You must be proud of him? The thing is, can he be proud of you when you do the same thing? I hope so!!weeksy wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 7:20 amI guess familiarity breeds contempt is the phrase. Not in a bad way but in the context that I've seen him jump stuff I cannot jump so many times that him doing stuff has now become insignificant to me, I just give a wry smirk and laugh inside each time. But I love watching him and his mate pushing eachother to do bigger and better style jumps on study, their thought process, their mindset, its proper funny. It also gives me a massive sense of pride too of courseSkub wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 10:40 pmAwesome, hardly qualifies as insignificant though!weeksy wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 7:14 am Mine is this

Doing this regularly with my boy is just fantastic. Watching him show a complete lack of fear, incredible.
Good stuff though!

He does give me lots of praise when I do things, but I'm slightly off form due to broken scaphoid so if I get the all clear on Wed I can start getting going again
