Attempted assembly of a cheap metal shed to discover the predrilled holes for the roof are all in the wrong places.
Tomorrow I will be making a better roof for it out of corrugated plastic.

I thought that, so I took it apart and tried the roof supports everyday they could be assembled (only 3 different ways as it turns out) but no matter what the holes in the roof don't like up with the holes in the beams, it doesn't matter as tomorrow I will drill holes in the right places or build a new roof for it.weeksy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 9:12 pmYou put it together incorrectly?Julian_Boolean wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 9:11 pm Attempted assembly of a cheap metal shed to discover the predrilled holes for the roof are all in the wrong places.

It's a solid shed and was cheap, another £50 to make a roof for it that I'll be happy with is okay with me.

Started to put together out new 3x3m wall fixed gazebo, only to find out the wall is less than 3m and it will either stop the back door or french doors from opening. Dunno wtf I was thinking when I ordered it...

I resurrected mine last weekend after not looking at it for a few years. Now Facebook has bought Oculus you must have a Facebook account to use the new Oculus Quest, once logged in I deleted it from my phone again.
I don't miss Facebook at all.

A second looks shows that you're correct, I've got my overlap wrong, holes are still in the wrong place thoughweeksy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 9:12 pmYou put it together incorrectly?Julian_Boolean wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 9:11 pm Attempted assembly of a cheap metal shed to discover the predrilled holes for the roof are all in the wrong places.

Pup is 3 months this old now. Got a WhatsApp message with new photos...she's going to be a big girl and by the looks of those paws we're going to have lots of holes in the garden...

More or less finished our Xmas shopping! Got to buy for the wife but we've got everyone else's preszzies! Loads of kids stuff is on sale, so my Great Nice and Nephew will be getting a lot more than we would get them normally, as the budget went a lot further due to sale prices!

Re: What have you done today thread?
Woke up to a freezing cold house, feared the worse that the controller was on the blink as the app said the boiler was running, thankfully turned out to be the thermostat batteries, so replaced them.
Chopped up some box steel to make a radiator stand (walls are 170 year old plaster and lath so won’t carry the weight and the studs don’t line up), my welding is shit even after being cleaned up with the grinder and the best welds will be hidden but you’ll have to be lying behind a sofa to see most of them, so fuck it.
This afternoon will be hanging the rad and levelling everything up. I might get around to starting to wire up the zoned heating controls but not before we view daughter 2’s new first house later this afternoon (it’ll be a home once they complete on the purchase and move in).

Re: What have you done today thread?
Wet,cold and windy on the morning walk.
I love it,because it keeps people away and I have the world to myself.
Smell and taste the salt from the choppy sea, hear and feel the thump of the waves as they shake the rock under my feet round through the caves. It gives one perspective when standing close to a power utterly indifferent to your existence. The sea doesn't fret or worry,it simply is.
I could have easily looked out at the 'terrible' morning and stayed indoors, but I'm glad I didn't.
