2020 Moto GP world champion
So who will take it this year???
I feel if Dovi pulls his finger out he can win it, for some reason I’ve never warmed to him, maybe because he was Cal’s team mate and beat him a few times at Tech3.
I feel Dovi’s had he chances to win and never managed to beat any of the top boys to it. He’s had great rides.
Now I’d feel differently about if any of these new younger guys won.
Is that me just being bitter???

Marquez,if he comes back fully fit!
Dovi seems to be trying not to win it.
It's too close to call,so I'm going for Mir.
Or maybe Pol...

Re: 2020 Moto GP world champion
I still think if Marc had of wound his neck in and settled for points in round 1 he'd be out of sight by now. There isn't another rider at his level at the moment. I agree with Yorick, Lollypop head on an M1 could very possibly have won this title as the others are too inconsistent. Feels like we are at a changing of the guard stage and without Marc there is no stand out rider. Bloody exciting though and hopefully will help bring some riders up a level by giving them belief.
As for Champ this year Mir hopefully.

Re: 2020 Moto GP world champion
Too tough to call. 1 mistake could cost someone the title now as it's so close. I was reading this is the lowest scoring championship at this point in the season since 1952
I'm going with Mir as he seems most consistent. He's not won any, but got the most podiums/better results.
Or Dovi with a string of 8th's but still wins

Mir or Quartararo
Rins, Marquez and others may take the headlines in the last few races, but neither will catch Mir or Quartararo who are podium favourites each race. I reckon Mir, less pressure and a better bike?

Re: 2020 Moto GP world champion
Been around him in the pits through his Leopard Moto3 days and he's a very cool kid. If you remember how he won his Moto3 title with something like 10 wins despite rarely being on pole it was a demonstration of quite how good his race skills are. I'd be happier putting money on him rather than Vinales.

I'd put money on me before Vinales, unless it was a championship of qualifying sessions

Re: 2020 Moto GP world champion
He could do an Emilio Alzamora and become a world champion without winning a single race in the season .....consistency won it for him

Re: 2020 Moto GP world champion
So Mir is looking pretty good coming into the final 2 rounds... realistically i can only see Rins being the one to challenge him overall. But all he's got to do you'd think is about a top 5-6 in both and he's got it well and truly wrapped up.
None of the others have any consistency from what we are seeing, so while someone else may win, they won't win the other one too.

Re: 2020 Moto GP world champion
All Mir needs to do now,is keep on doing what he's done all season. Learning, improving, yet managing to be consistent. The rest of them are blowing hot and cold too often.
Fabio has lost the plot,Dovi's season gets worse every round,Morbidelli is a winner one week and nowhere the next. Rins was unlucky with injury early on and Vinales has plain just shit the nest.
Even with double headers at the same circuit,it's not a given to get the same riders on the podium. All the while Mir plugs away playing the long game and gathering the points.
