I can drop the Gazebo down and say hello if you lot need it... I've bought new sides as one of you buggers ripped one side last year. They're stronger/better ones this time. Not a big issue to come over and say hi.

Well, it isn't a 1290 but last night I bought another bike and will be bringing it to Pembrey along with the ZX6 so @weeksy , you might want to bring your leathers as I am 99.9% sure that you'll never have sat on one of these before and you WILL want to ride this oneTricky wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 10:23 amThe one currently(?) for sale on PB made me think hmmmm , shall I but nah, I haven't, and am not going to so it'll just be the green one with me at Pembrey this time ( unless Kev comes, I still wouldn't rule it out, whatever he says currently )- sorry!weeksy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 9:32 amSay what !!!! You've bought a Gen3 1290 ? Man that thing was epic/scary. I rode it the day after riding your MT10, as you recall i adored the MT10, but the 1290SDR left me somewhat blown away when i rode it.
thoughts/chats like this remind me of why i loved bikes for so long... Obviously they've been replaced in my world with MTBs, but if i had an unlimited space/budget/time i could easily see something like one of these 2 things in there.
It was just a little experimenet to test your current potential level of interest in riding a motorbike
P.S. That was a Gen2 we rode that day at Premier when I had my first MT - the only one I'd consider is the Gen3- (current model) one

That's a very intruiging post right there sir.Tricky wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 8:34 amWell, it isn't a 1290 but last night I bought another bike and will be bringing it to Pembrey along with the ZX6 so @weeksy , you might want to bring your leathers as I am 99.9% sure that you'll never have sat on one of these before and you WILL want to ride this oneTricky wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 10:23 amThe one currently(?) for sale on PB made me think hmmmm , shall I but nah, I haven't, and am not going to so it'll just be the green one with me at Pembrey this time ( unless Kev comes, I still wouldn't rule it out, whatever he says currently )- sorry!weeksy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 9:32 am

I've bought it unseen but am really excited about this one and pretty sure you would be too, although not sure it's the sort of bike you'd ever buy - I'm in Lanzarote ATM, not back home until early Thursday morning but will be jumping in the van on Thursday and driving down to pick it up, so Pembrey will be the first time I'll ride it ( that's assuming we get at least one dry session- if it pisses down then it'll stay in the van and it'll just be the green bike that gets used) - all will be revealed Friday!

All joking aside, if the forecast looks the same on the day I might be spending Friday under a hard roof somewhere as well

Nope- it is of European manufacture though- that's all I'm saying until after Pembrey this week-end, when I'll maybe do a NBT on it- that's of course all assuming its as described ( I had a long chat with the seller yesterday about it's history, and have pics and a vid so am as sure as I can be) and the pick-up on Thursday goes OK of course

Sounds exciting.
Hopefully we'll get some dry weather... not too much to ask for in this shit show of a summer.

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone have a GoPro handlebar mount and tether I could borrow? I have a Hero 7, but can't find my handlebar mount anywhere. Was think it would be nice to get some footage of the day.

If this rain continues I'll be leaving the bike at home and coming in the car. Sod trying to pour myself into damp leathers in a tent.

Well I'm calling it tomorrow evening, but the forecasts are all over the place at the minute. If Friday is settled I'll make it, if it's pissing down I'll probably leave it.

Fuck me....
Well if anyone isn't coming you need to let me know as i'll be going to the Farm Shop and spending money on food, then to the supermarket for beer/etc.... So i'd really rather it doesn't go to waste because people don't make it.
