 - I'd be having them if I had an AT I reckon- much more desirable front wheel size and vastly better road tyre choice- means you could fit Dunlop Mutants which are not only brilliant tyres, they look 8-) 8-) too

Image
Yeah my head was on a better tyre choice, and tubeless is a great thing, but i've discounted them now. I dont exactly challenge any tyre  so i may as well due the 3m tubeless conversion on my rims, if I even bother. I'm trying to find time to get to a tyre place to get some new ones, but work commitments ahead of my summer leave is killing that at the moment! I'll just carry on enjoying it as it as it is for now...

I couldn’t even hear the Remus. Maybe I’ll try it with the db killer out, but after the recent encounter with the 5-0, I’m kinda enjoying the more stealthy approach!

Top box was really handy though. So nice not having a heavy backpack hanging off of you!!

Thats the lighter of the two I have. Its a 16mm link Pragmasis. The one at home is a Almax 19mm link and weighs the same as the bike, probably...

I know I"m being a bit daft, but the metal post that the 'anchor' is around, that is fixed down, right??!!

(From the photo it looks vaguely like they could lift it and drag the bike into a van!! )

I thought the exact same thing! Looking closer, it looks like the corner of a bus shelter or something similar?

I just put a lock and chain on the bike. If i get a space near something I can loop it around, then I do, but quite often I cant do that.

I was thinking that, but didn't want to seem daft ;)

It's ok. Everyone knows I'm daft as a brush, so I get away (mostly) with asking the stupid questions :D :D :D

On the streets outside, Camden Council actually put ground anchors in the bike bays, but I opt for the out of sight approach.

When I go to our head office I get off at Holborn and walk passed a couple of bike parks, I'm often surprised to find some bikes with no locks at all.

See it all the time and just assume some peple are blissfully unaware of the rates of bike theft? :wtf:

Decided the Remus was so quiet, I may as well sell it and put the standard can back on. Thought I'd try it with the db killer out first though, but suspected it'd be too loud like that. I was wrong. At low throttle openings, you could ride past a maternity unit and not cause any problems. Open it up and it gets louder, but not like straight through loud.

A bike with some noise to it is better than a quieter one in central London as so many people step off the kerb into the road and suicidal deliveroo leccy cycles and the tour de strava flids are everywhere. The trouble is, with a DCT you can't pull the clutch in and bounce it off the limiter to scare the crap out of any of them, so maybe the Remus is a waste of time from that point of view, but i like the subtle sound of it.

The Arrow on the Tiger is slightly more fruity than standard, but nowhere as rorty as past cans have been. It's the new norm, innit.

I know I'm getting old mind, as I hear a really loud can and find myself tutting.
