Just home after playing the club champs qualifying and stroke play champs, looks like I’ve qualified 6th so will be playing the quarters on Wednesday.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Went to work in cloud!! Luckily it cleared and was sunny most of the day. We were quite busy which was nice!
Went to meet a friend after work as he gets a pass for the swimming pool because he has an apartment in that village - so I now have a free ticket to go swimming after work
Had a chat with the summer boss as my hours aren't adding up to 35 per week (four days, so only about 30-32 ish). He has said that as long as all the work is done and things are clean etc he's ok and currently very happy with what I'm doing. So, that's cool. I have said that if they need me to do extra days to help when it gets busier, then to let me know
Now, if the rest of life could bimble along like that, it'd be aces

Was out the door at 6.20am & back home by 11.30. WAY the fuck too hot to ride or even hang out at the RockStore, almost puked in my helmet coming over the hill back into the Mojave.

Bought a car and drive it two and a half hours home. Love it but the brakes only seem to work on one side so I get to take it apart and mend it. Best day ever

My old man rebuilt a 2CV6 for my sister as her first car. He built it all on a new galvo chassis. I wasn't a fan, but it was the first time I'd ever seen in-board brakes on a car.

Re: What have you done today thread?
By the way, for those that don't know what that is, it's a citroen 2cv with a 602cc engine making 29bhp, that's less than my drz400e which feels dog slow and yet my wife claims that I hit 80mph today, albeit slight downhill. If I ever decide to put an 1150gs engine in it I'll make a project thread but at the moment I'm just playing the "maintain momentum" game which is so much fun and reliving memories of more than 30 years ago...

One of the car magazines put a turbo in. Didn't last long, not much left by the time the fire brigade arrived.

Went back to work today for the first time since my Junkie encounter. Had to catch up on some grass cutting and an old boy wanted me to dig a hole as his cat was to slow at crossing the road. Put my back out hammering into the hard soil full of bloody stones. It better be good for tomorrow as i cant afford to be of much more

Woke up at 4am. Realized I wasn't going back to sleep, so got up, had a shower & breakfast.
Then had the first nap of the day. Will be cashing in my winning lottery ticket ($7) later today & exchanging it for 2 Powerball tickets ($900M jackpot), I MegaMillions ticket ($640Million Jackpot) & 1 SuperLotto ticket ($77Million Jackpot)

Re: What have you done today thread?
Apparently it was almost 30 degrees here today! It bloody felt like it! LOL
Work was good. Then physio, then met a mate who's just come back from the uk - and randomly met three others too. We sat outside until just now and I was only really feeling the cold in the last 15 ish minutes The temperature drops massively relatively early because the sun goes behind a mountain, but it's been so hot that it felt ok until about 9pm!! LOL
Been a good day - although I'm now about to eat a sort of dinner! Far too late for the stew and veg I'd planning, so have reheated some mini fish fingers!! They are actually labelled as Fish Balls in the freezer - next to the Chicken Balls!! LOL Some of the fish bits and mayo and I'll to bed - early start tomorrow!! LOL

Re: What have you done today thread?
I changed my first spokes ever!! On a downhill scooter
Then put the wheel back in (boss had taken it out) and changed the brake pads (rear wheel) as I did so. Well chuffed
Also changed some 'rings' on part of the suspension on another because if was moving too much - but it still clicked. Turns out the 'rings' he gave me weren't the right ones so at least it wasn't my fault!
My first mechanicking on something with no engine!! LOL

Re: What have you done today thread?
Been to a school Governor's meeting all afternoon. One lovely parent has complained about 3 of her kids, taken all 3 complaints through a 3 stage process (and the final stage is independent of that school), and now taken all 3 complaints to judicial review because she doesn't like the answer.
The kicker is that she incurs no costs, it costs us about £18k a throw for specialist lawyers. That is £18k that could, and should, be spent on children's education.
