I'm now looking for a cheap 90's GSXR750 and a Blandit 1200 engine.

I reckon you'd have to be J Whitham standard to get that around a track quickly.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 10:32 am I want, no, need this.

Don't like them, worst of the GSXRs, they ride long and heavy, the YZF in the background on the other hand.....KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 10:32 am I want, no, need this.

TBH, I'd call it a criminal waste of what was a good frame.

I dunno. People tell me it’s a very enjoyable engine to use on the road and I’ve no reason to disbelieve them.Rockburner wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 6:21 pm

I've not ridden a Rapide, but the Comet was nice, if much heavier than it needed to be for a 500 single.JackyJoll wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 7:02 pmI dunno. People tell me it’s a very enjoyable engine to use on the road and I’ve no reason to disbelieve them.Rockburner wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 6:21 pm

I can’t see where the frame is “butchered.”
The pics are a bit indistinct, but it looks like the in-unit Vincent gearbox has been sawn off the back of the engine and an AMC gearbox used.
