Evening.
Evening.
I've been lurking for ages on the old forum and now this one. One or two threads here recently have almosted prompted me to post so I thought I may as well join - just in case.
I am down to just one bike at the moment - a Triumph Scrambler - which I bought hoping to slow down a bit and lower the chances of losing my license or crashing to death. I'm a bit bored of it now though. Even though I've tweaked it to give it a bit more oomph and its very pleasant to ride, in the end its just too heavy. I'm condsidering a MT-07, or more likely a XSR700 as I'm a sucker for neo-retro even though I'm old enough to know better...

Re: Evening.
Do you find that method works for you? I ask because I've always been a little sceptical about the theory of buying a 'slower' bike to stop silliness. I've found it just moves to a different kind of silliness, since it's the rider who is the common denominator.
I changed from a ZX10R to a Z1000,primarily to get away from the big numbers on the road. This works up to a point, because the lack of fairing makes prolonged use of three figures a pain in the neck. (literally) However,I have discovered I can still be a twat at speeds much lower!
Welcome along fella.

Re: Evening.
In truth, no. In fact I'm in more danger pushing the scrambler beyond its safe operating speed. Also overtaking takes longer.
You can't wheelie it though, so there's that. Which is probably why i'm bored of it, the gert lump.
