Handy wee tool. Just cut up a plank of 4"x2" to test and its got the thumbs up for me. Looks like if needed i could add a longer chain and guid if i find it to small but yes, quite chuffed.

Used an the 2nd small tree since i got it. 4 to 6" trunks and its burnt out. Smoke coming from motor what was quite disappointing. Ill not get another unless brand ones are available with guarantees. Ill check later Man U beat Chelsea.

I'm not surprised! It's just a pruning saw. My old gardener had a Makita one and it was OK for the annual pollarding of the willows (nothing much over 1" but quite a lot of them)*. 6in tree trunks are a bit of a big ask.

* even so I prefer to use my Silky Zubat saw for cleaner cuts - chain saws are a bit 'chewy'.

I have some of them

...and they work a treat. All four car wheels off and on in five minutes with no compressor time. Red Bull F1 can do one.

I normally use a pole saw but these trees were right next to a green house and were getting taken down to six foot. The hand held gave me the use of one hand to hold an pull the tree back away from the glass

6piece set of those plastic plier/clamps for brake/fuel lines etc.. which will be handy when I sort the front brake calipers on the ZX11 once the new gubbins arrive.

Sometimes you just need a very long socket to spin a nut onto a very long coach bolt. Handy for trimming out stairways in floorjoists.

As its a half inch square drive socket on a 1/4" hex adapter it won't do massive torque but it's fine for coach bolts into timber. That was for the perimeter joists in this bit thats on 300 centres single joists at the close end and doubled up at the far end where the higher weight loading goes.


Some of the spacings look slightly uneven but those are in areas where there's steel girders.

I have one that's about 12 years old and I use it regularly for the model making and soldering. It needs a new magnifying glass but I think it'll be a whole new item before too long.

There's an ol' boy posts on Model Ship World who made his own because the ones you buy (mine is pretty much identical the the one in your picture) are below a certain standard. I think he's made a few to order but I wouldn't want to afford one.
