Going by Chris's reply, they aren't a simple bike to tune correctly either. I should have stuck with the MT09! :silent:

Yeah but the MT09 hit every branch on the way down and it was a big tree

Yes, he is really highly thought of but very difficult to get into as he only works a few days a week and has loads of repeat customers!!

Pah. I'd want it done right the first time.

"This bike cannot achieve results with a postal flash. I need the bike on my Dyno. No two identical Ducati bikes have the same fuel trims , injector flow rates , cam timing and throttle balance. Making a good tune from one not swap well into the next".
Sadly, its a 350 mile round trip to get there and back and I certainly don't fancy that on a Hypermotard. So, whilst the o2 eliminators and fuel adjuster have really helped, it's still fecking annoying to ride in traffic. I'm still in the honeymoon period with it, and still think its an incredible bike to ride properly. But I don't know how long it'll be before it pisses me off too much to live with? Anyone know of any Ducati tuners in or near Essex?
Gey thisen a decent Jap bike that works right out of the box.

Yes, if you want a bike that works, buy Japanese, but those MV triples are very pretty, I have to remind myself what a heap of poo my Husqvarna (made by MV) was when it came to reliability and throttle response, otherwise I'd be spending £18K on an MV.

Could Chris at X bikes assist with your Ducati?

My MT-09 was a bit jumpy at low throttle openings. I can't think of a modern Fi bike I've had that hasn't had some issues at part throttle/low revs?

Good call about Chris...

My Suzuki is near perfect, you get a slight lag if you slam the throttle shut and open it again, but I've learnt how to ride round it, the only bike I've with better throttle response was my SRAD 750 that had carbs, but I don't know if that could pull from tick over like the GSXS does.

I'm not going to criticise your Ducati, I've no experience of a fuel injected Ducati, could your issues be because it's got two big pistons and not four little ones, I thought the 1995 900SS was horrible for this reason.

No, its not just my Ducati. Its widely documented by tuners that most bikes run far too lean in the closed loop to meet euro regs. Forums are full of people complaining about I too.

In other news, I think I may have solved my remap problem!

I think I have something sorted out with CJS now, but if not BSD will be doing it. Even then they are 103 miles away, but that should be doable with 37 comfort breaks along the way! :D

@Taipan - I am not suggesting going there - but have you talked to a) Louis Moto (very highly thought of independent) b) Moto Rapido - highly thought of dealership (but slightly up their own arse... but the do know everything)

I hate to sound harsh, but i don't think anyone can resolve the issues. Simply because you want something 'more' than bikes can give these days (in certain configurations).
IMO whoever you use, you'll be pissing £400-500 away as in 6 weeks from then, it'll be outed...

I still don't actually know what the answer is in terms of bikes though, but this one isn't it.

I'd love to be proven wrong though.

Whilst everyone in Diavel world talks about remapping the bike to solve the low rev snatchiness - and how brilliant it is. Both Moto Rapido and Pro Twins have said it is just how Ducati engine run - and remapping will lose power elsewhere.
As a said about a million posts ago - you need to run in "too low a gear" when you are at low speeds. Learn to do that and you will learn to love it.
But a grunty buell/Triumph 1200 twin it isn't
