MTB'ers chasing Strava times, unable to corner or weave between trees/saplings on narrow single track so they chop down the offending trees so they can better their time. 😡😡😡😡

I won't find out for a while how insignificant this is.
My new passport arrived and in bold letters it said:
"! You MUST SIGN YOUR PASSPORT IMMEDIATELY"
So I signed my passport.

Later I got a text saying:
"When you get your new passport you must sign it with a black ballpoint pen."

Why wasn't the letter that came with the passport that specific?

Who in turn, shot the sheriff. And yet no charges were ever pressed.

Apparently HP are now starting to block their printers using aftermarket cartridges forcing you to go to them. Not terrible for me as I simply subscribe to their ink programme and pay thorough my business however will no doubt piss a few people off......
To be honest my experience of non-HP cartridges have ben very hit and miss (may be a coincidence but I'm fairly sure a nonHP cartridge killed my last printer).

I quite like the on-demand ink programme but, like you, my business pays anyway so ICGAF.
I recently mapped the work printer to my PC for the first time ever.

I started at this job 3 years ago...

So, when I thought the Monster would be an easy start, I asked the insurance company that I use for medical insurance to give me a quote. Mostly because at the time I didn't know if I could get the equivalent of VOSA to do a check on it but needed insurance straight away - the insurance company I used last year I knew wouldn't help until the process of registering it had actually started :(

So, the first insurance co I asked came back with a quote of 83.71€ a month which she said was because I had no no claims. When I said I had a years no claims, it was reduced to 80.73€ per month! Not even 3€ a month difference?? (She also takes a week to reply to any emails ) Even with the 'discount' for the no claims it's almost twice what they quoted last time :o :o :o

Anyway, now I 'think' I can get a CoC a bit more easily than from a dealer here or through DREAL, I emailed the guy that did the last insurance (I won't be riding till July now so there's no major rush :( :( ).

His response is - "You were paying 28,36€ pm, it will have gone up by between 6% and 8%, so around 30€ pm now"

WTAF!! I remember why I went with his insurance last time but the difference was only about 10€ a month, not 50€ :wtf: :wtf:

I know insurance companies differ, but I've never had differing quotes to that extreme!! :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack:

Not sure who I’m angrier with at the moment, the low life scumbags running a Bitcoin scam or my FiL for handing over 8K to them today despite being burnt twice before and all our warnings that it’s a SCAM!

It was only when BiL popped over to see the MiL and FiL today that he found them installing a remote control app on a tablet for the scammers and waiting for a call back to confirm the “deal” payment had gone through. Which it allegedly hadn’t when they rung back and asked for payment again……….

LOL Kinda depends how old is 'old' git territory!! LOL

The first made a big deal about no no claims and then the quote was only reduced by about 30€ The other quote isn't so bad

AMV was definitely cheaper, but until I have the french plate, they won't touch it :( :( Maybe next year

Yeah - had a similar discussion with my wife this morning.

Advertised our Peloton bike for sale (not on eBay due to idiots!) for what is a reasonable price with a little bit of flex to keep the bargain hunters happy, woman goes through the whole 20 messages thing and then lowballs me with the 'I'll give you £500 and collect tonight' offer and then couldn't understand my 'No you wont, I'll keep it thanks' response!

I rarely sell stuff for precisely these reasons...I also only sell stuff now that I'm not actually that bothered about selling. Pay me the price or I'll just wait for someone else
