I'll let @Bigyin explain about his riding companions. (I don't see them as dribbly..but y'know we all get older eventually ). Let's just say I don't think many of us would be showing them a clean pair of heels....even if they were riding CB400s never mind GS's. They might be getting a bit leaky now though....so they just have to stop a bit more often.Ditchfinder wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 5:33 pmNope - I always thought Visordown would be the youthful sportsbike ninja turtle crowd not the driblly old gs'ers

Clobber and the usual stuff is in top box …. Didn’t fancy using the panniers as they are feckin huge and I like filtering so the waterproof bag had tent, sleeping bag, Kip mat, camping chair and a few other camping odds and sods

Lots of people can ride quick for a short period of time but not as many can maintain it for an entire day on varied roads and surfaces.... 2 of those days were also carrying full luggage for the camping as well.
I would say this weekend is probably the quickest sustained riding i have done in over 10 years and every tyre on each bike was used right to the edges. Spread over 3 days on everything from open sweeping roads, twisty back roads and single track fairly unused roads in the mountains and i lost count of the number of bikes we went past but everything was smooth and safe with a couple of minor moments mainly due to other road users doing the usual pulling out of junctions in front of riders who had already recognized the "what if" and backed off just in case. Cracking weekends riding and good company both on and off the bikes

LOL I don't know, I think that tree trunk is a fair on-land representation of a massive anchor

Oddly enough, the Mojave Desert is somewhat bereft of massive anchors.. altho there are boats dumped all over the place out here.
