I haven't seen a 7 seat car that is good for much more more than occasional short use, i.e. taking six small children for a bowling party.
If you want to take adults, luggage or make longer journeys then a 9 seater van will work much better, probably lwb.

There's a long Renault (i forget the name) that's a genuine 7 adult seater. Metz had one for a while and iirc rated it.

Might have been. We went up to the Lakes in it once, at least 7 adults with a weekend's worth of luggage (wedding weekend iirc). Plenty of space.

my viano 3.0

just done 2k miles to the outer Hebrides and back and it was awesome. love it. expensive tax and a bit juicy if you boot it but its got lots of power and now ive got 17" wheels and all terrains on it it rides nice too.

Vito/Viano is a good shout, drive really well, comfortable. LWB and XLWB give you 7 full sized seats and luggage space, seating options are really flexivle too. They also come with a 2.2 diesel engine which is much cheaper to tax and run than the 3.0, and a remap can give 160-180 bhp

I was thinking about an Elgrand but they don't have much boot space with all the seats in use.
