What seven seater car?
I think the g/f and her two kids are going to move in. It would make sense for me to get a seven seater. I also like the idea of doing a bit of Uber with it rather than working for a bit.
My instinct is get a used Ford Galaxy. Any thoughts or better ideas? Is an S-Max not really big enough?

I can't be arsed anymore. I'm going to focus on being a dishevelled eccentric scrimper. But boozy and opinionated and squandering too.

A new Defender 110 pulled up next to me at the lights, it was black on black and massive, looked very cool.
They're only £90k.

Cheap and cheerful? It's hard to beat the Galaxy/Sharan/Alhambra.
Few quid to spend? Skoda Kodiak 7 seat.

T5 camper will only seat five if you want the kitchen, roll out bed etc. You can get the seats in it but not with anything else.
I used to know someone who swore by a galaxy and did loads of miles in them. It would be my choice of a family car for that many people.

Galaxy (black one), tinted windows, poor mans cool carriage of choice. Comfortable enough, spacious enough, cheap enough. Put on those spinners and 20" rims and boss it about.

Re: What seven seater car?
Smax is proper 7 seats and handles ( especially if you get the quick one). Many 7 seaters fob you off with that moulded/narrow middle seat.
It’s a much better drive than the galaxy.
I took the Mitsubishi Shogun up and back a few hundred miles recently with my lot. Again, 7 proper seats. Was ok- but gutless but the ride hide is great.

You might need to check the length of your parking area though.

(I had one of the very last saloon versions...coped with potholes and unclampable.

I had a BX19GTi company car foisted on me that I ended up loving for lots of others but also the same reason, and the opposite too - once escaped over high curbs from a pub car park when we were blocked in one bank holiday MondayCount Steer wrote: Sat May 13, 2023 8:01 pm (I had one of the very last saloon versions...coped with potholes and unclampable.).

Re: What seven seater car?
I had a 240hp smax, was indeed quick and handled well, yeah thirsty, spendy on the VED and insurance.
Ate its turbo and dumped fuel into the sump which took the big ends out.
Not sure it's a proper 7 seater from a minicab POV

If it's a VW van then it has to be either a Caravelle or Multivan, my Kombi is only a 6 seater.
I'll add the Dacia Jogger into the mix. Not the most exciting but it gets good reviews.
