First of all, there was still a slight rattle when I lightly shook the can, which has me thinking have they just redone the rivet themselves (akra) but not removed the broken bit within the can????? There is also a rivet head which isn’t perfectly flush, not as bad as before but still noticeable when you have a good look.

Also at the end of the can just under the outer sleeve there is a scratch/scrape, I’ll attach a pic showing this. I’ve taken pics and a video which I will send to RRPS, bit of a joke for something that costs roughly £700, I’d fully expect perfection and nothing less. I am a pernickity coont and sometimes it can be misplaced, sometimes I need to just say “it’ll do” but this is not one of those cases. Bit fucked off tbh.

For 700 quid it would need to be fucking perfect, that rivet might be ok on a £100 ebay job, buy not for that sort of money

For 700 notes for a piece of pipe I'd expect perfection as well, I don't blame you for being peeved. Especially as you had issues, I'd have expected someone to have double checked everything before sending

That's crap. If you are not happy, then be that moaning twat,if that's what it takes.

If a firm consistently punts out a less than perfect product, they should have every expectation to be consistently pulled on it,that's the only way quality will be improved. T get two in a row to the same customer shows their QC needs looking at.

Yeah absolutely, I’ll send the video and pics via email to RRPS and get the ball rolling that I’m not happy and that I’d like compensated to a certain extent.

The whinging aside, here’s a few pics and a short vid showing the bike at idle with a few blips of the throttle. This side of things I’m pleased with, I think when you keep the Cat then this is the better looking end can and will give you the best gain in noise, albeit it’s very subtle.

On start up and idle it’s very hard to hear in the video but there is slightly more of a deeper note, I’ll have to wait until I’m out and about to see how much difference there is especially when the exhaust valve is open.

It’ll keep the neighbours happy as well but the plan is to still purchase a full Evolution system when money is better but I imagine that will be a long way away yet, so this will keep me happy for the time being. When that time comes I’ll sell this can which should sell easily enough.

Nice crackle. Can the pops and bangs on the overrun be dailed out electronically on your model?

Yes, when you are in the normal riding modes it will only work in certain modes and depending on how you set up ride mode pro you could have it on or off, but you’d always have it on because the power mode and throttle response that you want means it’s on.

Ah. There's no electronics at all on my Zed,apart from abs,but I blanked off the Pair valve to stop the Pharting. It was a very technical operation.

I stuck a marble down the tube coming from the airbox. :silent:

At BMW today for the annual service, I think there is roughly 2170 miles on the bike now. My rear tyre is pretty much done so I’ll swap that out when I get home. I have a set of Michelin Power Cup 2’s to go on.

A bit fucked off with the service tbh, unlike the last time I forgot to tell them to leave the tyre pressures and chain alone. On the way home the pressures were sky high, no biggy but the fuds lubricated the chain, when it wasn’t needing it. So when I gets home the mess is unbearable, so deep clean again, fuck sake! Crabbit cunt or what? Yes I am.

Then to top it off I go to the usual effort for swapping the tyres over and I can’t find the valve tool, I have one at work but I have one here at home but for the life of me I can’t find it, so doubly fucked off! What’s more annoying is the fact I keep my tyre changing tools at work and on Friday evening I brought it all home but didn’t bother with the valve tool.

Nah wasn’t too bad, next year I’ll have to remember and tell them to leave the chain and tyre pressures alone.

Swapped the rear tyre over earlier on but I had to admit defeat in blowing it up, went to my mates garage and blew it up no bother at all. Something I need to get is a decent compressor.

Got home and stuck it back on, then realised I had forgot to balance it. 😫

Can’t be arsed just now so I’ll take the wheel back off later and balance it.

Akra used to be known for quality, but I agree with you, that is crap for the money. Looks like a cheap 1990s £100 end can.

The actual look of it and feel etc for me is good, it’s just the poor build quality with regards to the rivets and the scratch, other than that I like it.

That’s the wheel whipped back off and balanced, needed 15g of weights.

I’ve still got the front wheel to do but that tyre is good so I’ll wait until the weekend, the wife needs the car tomorrow so I needed the rear done for then. The rear was shot so I wanted it swapped out before using it again.

Chain tensioned to what it should be now, the tension is meant to be between 45-50mm and they had it at the slackest 40mm, probably more like 35-40mm. I also had to degrease it, clean then lube. What a mess it had made them applying chain lube when it was perfectly fine, not sure what they were thinking. I’ll remember next year and tell them to leave the chain and tyre pressures well alone.

Cracking start to the day 😂

Leaving Dollar and the gear lever is nowhere to be had by my foot, “fucks going on here” I think, look down and it’s hanging down and so is the shift rod………..fuck sake!

Miraculously the bolt never fell completely out, the rubber boot stopping it from falling out, pleased with that, slightly good luck for once. It’s all back on for the ride home but when I’m home I’ll thread lock it so that doesn’t happen again.
