There are many UK sellers of YSS shocks but only a few official service centres with access to all the fitting data. YSS is definitely a great ‘value for money’ option when replacing worn out OEM shocks (which can be toast after just 20000 or less)

So I run Black & White Bikes which is, of course, an official YSS service centre and I can usually beat any price out there on the internet. Give me a call on 01507 588149 or send me a PM and I’ll see what I can do for you.

Although there is a huge fitting list, I’m usually caught out when I say this and someone always comes up with an old bike that I can’t find a shock for, but it is rare.

And it really is good quality stuff and there are also fork upgrades and steering dampers in the catalog.

I have Norton on the Diavel. After the original shit on from Ducati, it transformed the bike - and K-Tech front cartridges
On the old GSs I thought Wilburs was the go to for those finding Ohlins too salty
I have a YSS doe the old Triumph - but haven't been brave enough to fit it

I tell everyone this because it's true, Paul did me a mega deal on a YSS shock for my GSXS, it was so cheap I bought the high spec one instead of the medium spec one I was going to buy, good service and a nice bloke, I'd cheerfully buy from him again.

With YSS you tell them your weight and they build the shocks to order for you, at least that's what I've been told by the people selling them to me.

That was the way it worked for me. I assume they fitted a suitable spring for my 70 / 30 solo and two-up use. At least it feels good.

I've done a few classic bikes, road and track. The best thing to do is let me know the top and bottom fittings and the length and we can work from there.

I'll check the latest fitment list too.

No, they just list the Commander and the Rotary so I'll need the fitting sizes and length.
