We need a song teenagers can bang their heads to in a car. Bohemian Rhapsody is not that song

Battleship, watched for the 101st time.
It's a cheese fest of cheesyness, but it uses a bangin' predominantly AC/DC sound track, bloody excellent, about time battleship 2 was made.

Cocaine Bear

Dull when the bear isn't on screen and unfortunately she's not on screen all that much. Possibly worth watching for the ambulance sequence alone though.

A Man Called Otto.

Starring and produced by Tom Hanks.

First 10 minutes is a bit hard going, but coz it's Tom Hanks I persevered.
It's a very clever film.
And a complete piss take of kids nowadays at the train line bit.
But also handles other new age stuff very well.
9/10.

I had dust in my eyes at the end.

As you enjoyed that the Swedish original is worth a watch, spoilers aside. The book's good too.

As much as I love Tom Hanks, I thought the Swedish one was better.

Now I know the plot, it's not worth watching the ABBA version?

Just spotted Tarkovskys Solaris on Youtube,, it's nearly three hours long and in Russian with subtitles but I've been wanting to see it for a while now so I'll see how I get on and watch it over a few nights.

As it's a Tarkovsky film its already got off to a weird start.

Give it a couple of months to let it drift a bit and then watch it.

I saw the Swedish one a couple of years back but was quite happy to watch Tom Hanks effort as it was sometime later. I suspect it'd be a bit quick to watch one in foreign speak/subtitles so soon after.

The Diplomat - on Netflix
Absolute tosh!

Woman, with an unnerving ability to talk in riddles for 8 hours and never brush her hair, get the job of US Ambassador to the UK when there is a crisis on. She has no real talents as an ambassador, as all she seems to do is piss people off. But she does know everyone in then Middle East.

The UK is a terrible country because of Brexit, our heritage, the fact that we wear hats and have ceremonies. The USA has no faults whatsoever and is going to save the world.

During the entire programme nobody has a straight forward conversation or asks simply questions. It's all riddles.
It thinks it is the House of Cards - but is just incredibly stupid.

FAST X
:angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack:

A bad guy that's the amalgamation of a camp Sam Smith and a parody of Dr. Evil just does not work, hell ignore that and think of him as Aquaman that's let himself go, a lot, during lock down and he still doesn't work, they were shooting for psychopath and missed by a country mile.

Now, guilty secret, I like / liked the Fast franchise, OK it was getting silly with the tanks and submarines, but now it's bat poop crazy, it was brain out guns n cars n guns n motorbikes etc repeated ad infinitum but now it's just a painful parody of itself, and with the exception of Van Derp, Statham and the Rock the cast have not aged well.

I can't score this, I can't articulate how bad it is, it's as if they're copying Marvels play book. :flame:

Of course they are - have you seen how much cash Marvel made?
