Numbers wise, maybe 6 or 8 bags plus an 'eco-friendly' travel mug and, obviously a money off voucher for the next order.

Price wise, around £20-£25 would be reasonable, but obviously you'd have to price it so that it was comparable to the price of a similar weight of standard order beans. For me it would be the fact that there was a selection that mattered most.

Re the mug, if you're thinking of going down that route, consider this: your product is high end and ethical. Something branded but equally as high end would suit the product. Just looking on Alibaba something like this perhaps:
https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/ ... 2ec9Ih0YI2

Packaging is tricky, but I'd say go with the high end, eco vibe: branded brown paper bag. Recycled, naturally. Preferable hand-woven by rescued armadillos. Excessive packaging is just sooo last decade.
hmm - let me ponder, dig around....

Indeed, but with a min order of 200 @ $9 a pop....it pretty much makes it a non-starter. Having a hunt about to see what I can come up with though...

I am just going to order him a bag of coffee! Job jobbed. And if he likes it, he will order his own coffee. I think that will work as a marketing exercise.

How many people would buy decaff if it was in my shop??

I keep getting asked here and there for it, but... decaff... that's sort of like Alcohol free lager.... :silent:

If I found a coffee I liked and it could be decaf that would be perfect. I drink decaf Yorkshire tea by the bucketful! If I found a coffee I liked I couldn’t drink much as I avoid caffeine generally. (Except on seriously long transfer days, then I drink too much lousy coffee!!)

I’d probably buy some for friends too.

But as I’m not a coffee purchaser/drinker yet, not sure my comment helps much!!

Favourite so far is the Kinini Kinigazi (Rwanda) with the Fazenda Palmital (Brazil) up next. Given how much I like a lot of Ethopian coffee's I wonder if I have a thing for African coffee

Finally the lavaza has gone and I’ve had a chance to stock the machine with Holly’s Blend.

Cool. Holly's isn't a really "strong" coffee, but it certainly is tasty as the three beans are all roasted to a different profile. One is quite a bit darker, one light and a mid roast on the third. This brings a really nice roundness to it, again IMHO.
