Copdock bike show Sunday
Might go to meet matey and his moon mileage 1290 KTM. Think its a ride out from a pub in Ipswich to a bike show in Sudbury. Maybe??? Not really sure as I don't do Facebook but gonna give it a go

Re: Copdock bike show Sunday
It's from the Brook in Washbrook to Sudbury, Washbrook is outside of Ipswich so easy to get to, the run itself can be fairly busy, get away near the front unless you like being held up by some very slow riders on slow bikes, it used to turn into a bit of a race near the front 20 years ago, but I doubt if it's like that now. The route is usually round some okay roads.
It's usually well organised
It isn't something I'd do for a couple of reasons, the pace is too slow for me and it attracts a lot of tedious knob ends.
I'm trying to be positive about something I don't like, the reason I don't like it is because I find riding around in a 40mph procession tedious, but it is a well organised, safe event with a lot of classic bikes being ridden.

Re: Copdock bike show Sunday
Cool, ta for info. As I said on pm I'm in 2 minds about the rideout for the slow/dangerous reasons I mentioned. So it might be I just ride with my mate to TT motorcycles and wait for the ride to turn up. I'm gonna call him today so see what he wants to do.

The Copdock bike club, who organise the show, do a spring ride out every year, this year they're ending at TT motorcycles.

Fair few bikes in the car park so reckon it'll be a congested ride but at least it's warmed up, was a bit parky when I left this morning.

If I go over to Sudbury I won't get there until 3pm as I'm watching the Le Mans 24 hour, and that finishes at 2pm

I'm just going to say people who have stands at bike shows are a bit odd, half past three and they were all packing up to go home.

Cracking day did about 180-190 miles. Perfect start to the season. Bike got splattered with bird shite as I left the ride out meeting spot, perfect shot on the folk leg and head light causing maximum splatter. Little bastard.
