Yes its here,but I cant really tell you much about it as I was talking to the delivery driver about latin American history and digitisation for nearly an hour and half The wife thought I'd gone out on it!

I did sort of look at it and it looked better than the pictures. He works on them and told me the best way to get the most out of the engines is 1500 mile oil changes. Never let people who arent Ducati trained or have a good working knowledge of them work on them. Soem other stuff that escapes for now.

In summary, it looks effin lovely and I hope to get out on it tomorrow.

Thanks Mate. Me too! Havent even thrown my leg over it yet, but I'm going out on it later to see how I get on. Visually I absolutely love it and the most fun I've ever had on bikes was on motards, so it's got a shoe in!

Well, I was not expecting that!! I was expecting some vibey old engine with grabby throttle etc. But its nothing like that. Its quite Japanese feeling? Quite smooth and even tractable. Very easy to ride bike and very enjoyable too.

I did start out in Sport mode and stalled it 3 times trying to pull away! I found it very frantic on the throttle in Sport mode so I pulled over and somehow managed to get it into Urban mode. That was too flat by comparison. So when I pulled over again I managed to get it into Touring mode and I think that's where it'll stay?

It really is so easy toride and will quite happily pootle along, almost like a xt660x, but certainly smoother than my 690 Duke! The fuelling is grim at certain revs for sure. Hopefully the SC Project AFM aduster will cure that. From what I've read it will, but I may well get it remapped in summer?

When I viewed that one last week I couldn't even change gear when sitting on it without wincing. I've been working my knee joint hard since then and its actually quite swollen, but the exercising has worked as I was able to ride it and change gear no problem at all. I could feel my tendons aching a bit as te time went on, but nothing that stopped me. The plan was to see if I could ride it for an hour, which is how long my commute takes. I ended up staying out for an hour and half, despite getting caught in the rain and only came home then as I had to get back for the pups.

Early days yet of course, but I would certainly chalk it up as a great success. Motard style bikes are probably my favourite bikes anyway and I felt at home on this from the start. I'm a very happy chappy!
