It looks like one of those Husqvarna things.
Its an age thing - if you are pushing 60 thats a homage to one of the best looking bikes Honda ever built, the one Freddie Spencer started racing on etc.

For us old gits anything that looks like a CB900F, Z1100R, GPz900, LC350, GS1000, Z1, Katana etc. will always trump something that looks like a modern day 'cafe racer'
Yup. I loved seeing Freddie on his CB900. And in my early racing days, there was a lad called Griff Roberts who really made a bendy CB900 fly around Cadwell. He passed us LCs in places he shouldn't have.

I had a red one.

Mmmm that's open to discussion. I'm not big on that style, but i admit the Z900 is LOVELY

NO. Sorry. It tries to grab some of the past, but gets confused.

Didn’t know where to post this. Suppose here is as good as anywhere.
It’s not all Forrin speak. It does change to English part way in.
Bodywork off to show the engineering would have been better.

Prefer this Honda concept CB-F based on the CB1000R

Looks are only part of it. If the concept bike was old skool silver and blue it would look miles better. Main reason is the CB1100 is hugely heavy and only puts out around 80bhp. Its a big old bus compared to the CB1000R - Builder of the red bike chose the wrong donor IMO

80 WTF ?

The original had that 35 years ago

That deserves more power to emulate FF. Grab them big bars, chuck it down onto yer knee, then pick it up an wheelie out of the bend :)

Harry wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2020 11:23 am It is genuinely lovely, but it's still a CB1100 - I've never ridden one and maybe they're ace, but it's probably more of a posers bike than a riders bike?

That is properly stunning, I hope they don’t make it as it would give me unwanted thoughts about selling my hyper :D
As said the decals should be blue, could there be a chance they are and that picture has some arty filter on it. I bet in a real world type photo the bike would look even better, if that makes sense :D
I was always a massive fan of 80’s CB looks, I even thought the super dreams looked good

I did say it's a posers bike rather than a riders bike - but to be fair that would suit me now, I'm not into going fast, just having a bike that I really like to own, regardless of it's foibles.

Like what Hargreaves says at 19.30s on this video...

Didn’t realise Hargreaves was still doing stuff, he looks virtually the same. Definitely agree with what he says in the bit you point out.

One for Couchie that would make a proper nice project, sandblasting, powdercoating etc..

That's what motorcycle exhausts should look like, though preferably black.

For the money that's being asked for , I think he should have invested in a pair of Lockwire pliers. As for the Gutter bolts. Jeez.

All sorts of clever little details from this russian builder

The bike lifts pneumatically when it has to be ridden, it rests on its bellypan instead of having a sidestand

When I first saw that I thought Jesus wtf is that but I’ve changed to love it, very different and cool.
