Fair play TP. Liked it, bought one.

113hp and it probably weighs about the same as an elf's underpants. Perfect hooligan commuter.

(3 months, tops. )

Over 200 kilos,so not light. Seems to be the law on recent bikes.

I've bought a SC Project AFM adjustable controller thing, which richens up the bottom end fuelling and makes a great improvement. Very quick and easy to fit and will do until I sort out a remap.

Also bought a R&G Tail tidy. I like the look and angle of these the best, but I do have reservations about the quality of R&G products. I'll see how it goes.

I've been looking at pictures of end cans. I love the sound of SC Project exhausts, but don't like the look of them on these bikes. I like Remus exhausts too but £475 for an end can stings a bit. Was hoping something good condition second hand comes up but nothing so far. Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet with the Remus. I do have a lot fo stuff in the loft of plenty to sell to cover it, so not all bad I suppose.

Looks like the Tmax is sold, which is double handy, but still no delivery date on the Hyper yet? So it looks like there will be some public transport use...

What does the adjustable controller do to the bottom end?

Just richens up the fuelling. Same as a booster plug, but you can adjust this one. People on the Ducati forums have great results from the humble booster plug and having used one before I know they can work to a degree. With the SC one I can turn it off to see how good it is/isn't and if it really does help smooth things out like they say it does. Apparently there's a place in Bristol that is the king of the remaps on Ducatis. I'll get it down to him at some point, but this is for the interim.

"MotovationUSA.com installs the SC-Project AFM Module onto a project bike build (Ducati Hypermotard 939SP).

With increased exhaust air flow, comes the need for increased fuel delivery. For most SC-Project exhaust applications, the AFM unit will provide the necessary adjustments to keep your bike running properly.

SC-Project AFM unit acts upon your bikes existing sensors and allows you to manually alter the necessary fuel delivery values. This piggy-back unit maintains the original OEM electronic ECU and settings, and is able to revert back to stock at any time.

The SC-Project AFM units alters the bikes air temperature readings in a way that manipulates the sensors into increasing fuel delivery. This updated balance in air and fuel allows your bike to run much smoother and perform better.

The SC-Project unit is recommended for SC-Project slipon exhaust and a high flow air filter such as a Sprint Filter.

No external computer or additional software required, and adjustments are made on the fly. The AFM dial works on a 0-10 scale - where the dial position 0 (on the left bottom) creates a standard condition - as if the unit were off. Raising the dial value lets you increase the adjustment level till a maximum of 10. The dial lets you increase the value until you find the optimal air/fuel ratio for your riding conditions. SC-Project suggests that in most cases the range of 4-6 seems to be optimal for slipon exhausts, and 6+ for higher flowing systems.

The install simply requires that you plug in the unit to the air temp sensor on your bike, using the factory connects, no splicing. This allows you to make adjustments to your bike's perceived ambient temperature, which then allows for fueling adjustment".

Luigi Moto?

People go on about booster plugs on the big twin Triumphs - but it always seems like a cop out. Talking with ProTwins about remapping - their conclusion was if you the low end issue - you will only push the problem somewhere else.
Their solution was cane it at lower revs. Which works

I've used booster plugs before and they do help, but IMO it snot the best way to do it. A bit of a bodge really when compared to a remap, even ageneric one. But I cant get to Bristol anytime soon and the fuelling on this will be a royal pita on my commute according to the forums. So if this helps with this then it will be a good interim measure.

Just found out the 821 and 939 exhaust cans are interchangeable, so I've got a lot more scope on a decent second hand end can. Debating whether to go for this or not? I think the angle looks right...
