New bike: take the plunge or not?

First thought is 8k was what I paid new for my GSXS 1000 so seems a lot for a difference from one Tiger to another But I guess that's what things cost, bike prices are mental. 13k for a 2nd hand 900 Tiger. Mind blown.

If you want it I say buy it though. You only live once and you ride your bike a lot so go for it

Matey has a low miles,couple year old BMW S1000R HP whatever,he's being charged £10k to change to this year's BMW S1000R HP whatever. It's even the same colour....

Frankly, I'd look fucking awesome sat on a Little Tikes three-wheeler wearing a tutu and regimental tie alone, but that's just how I roll.

My Tiger 800 is a 2011 with just on 60k miles. Still on original clutch so you should be ok for years.
However, I'd absolutely get the new 900.

And I've just had a call from Motolegends to say that they're going to replace my faulty Sena SRL2 Bluetooth unit (well, their supplier is) with a brand new one after 15 months.

Gotta say, they've always been really good.

Awful photos, but only remembered to take some when I got to work.

Huge leap forward from the last Tiger. They've changed the firing order of the cylinders and upped the displacement to 900. Engine is more 'twin' in character, with more lower-end torque and more urgency. Slightly more vibey, mind. Riding position is different too, seat is thinner which makes it easier to get your feet on the floor when stationary. Some nice extras, like heated seat and grips, all built in. They've taken a leaf out of BMW's book and the spoked wheels are now tubeless. Loving the colour combo.
The TFT screen is a nice touch, but to get the most out of it you need the My Triumph app. Guess who's old donkey of a phone is too old to download the app?

I think that's was the newer 1200, they have a really bad rep for it.
