Frost stopped in a line across the Downs a 1/3 of the way to Brighton from Lewes. Weird.

Since I retired 12 days ago,as well as getting out a few times on my SV650 I've been out on the mountain bike at Rivington, down the Cheshire Lines on my 'Gravel Bike' & now out on the road bike.
There's a lot to be said for retirement Makes a nice change from grabbing a hour on Zwift.

Last few months have been hectic, first work and life was mental busy then, I got some savage illness, last 3 weeks and the week in the middle I couldn’t work, never had anything like it before.

Anyways that hampered my training, I am doing the London landmarks 1/2 marathon in April in memory of the mother in law who passed from cancer.
Today was my first ride in a while. Last 2 weeks I started running again to get back into it. Aiming for 3 runs and 1 cycle a week, that’s all my work and life balance will allow with out walking at 5.30am for a run.

Did 28km on the bike. 1/2 way home took a wrong turn and went down some horrible dirt road.

Great to be out again.

Grey day suited my mood, c'mon spring, make an appearance. Not helped by my AXS shifter battery dying as I headed into the last climb and had to single speed it. My already creaky back is now very unhappy.

More than one off today including a failure to unclip whilst losing the front end and landing in a pile of horse 💩 and going down a new trail with lots of log jumps, going big on the last one and sailing over the berm I was supposed to go round.😂. Idiot, look before you leap.

I was planning on taking the 'Gravel bike' to the beach today, but as it started raining I've just done 52km on Zwift.
I must admit it's been a game changer since I started Zwifting a couple of years back

Spent the day at BPW today with a few mates and the boy. I'm starting to see some of the teachings come into fruition and pay off I think. I was actually able to give the body position etc some thought and try and put into place what Katy wants. I wasn't caught by anyone and gapped the guys I was with after a morning of taking it a little easy. I think it went well

Cheeky cycle commute, slightly under 22km, quite fun, coming home was a slog at the end, need to get back to it. Aiming for once a week.

Great day out with friends in the Elan valley mid Wales

There is a group of riders just up there, but the scenery all of the way around is superb.
