Ghostbusters : Afterlife

Colour me impressed, it walked a very fine line betwixt new & nostalgia, but hit the balance bob on

It's not particularly memorable, but killed an hour and a half.
Think it did much the same to the terrorists....

Fuck me it's a bloody dark film, but you have to give it Joaquin Phoenix, he's superb in it.
When I watched it at the flicks somehow the big screen made the plot seem less dark?. Watching it again on the telly it feels way creepier.

I watched The Free State of Jones' last night. It was long and often slow paced, but I thought it was an interesting watch.

McConaughey can be great at times.

We went to see it at the cinema, completely agree, it was dark but seems darker watching it since at home. Joaquin is superb in it.

I bought the DVDs for Knives Out and Glass Onion and we watched them over the weekend - very enjoyable, cleverly put together and quietly funny. Both are murder mystery films with a big nod to the old Agatha Christie/Hercule Poirot potboilers, but brought bang up to date. Daniel Craig is the 'world's most famous detective', Benoit Blanc and is very impressive, as are both sets of cast. I suspect that both would pay repeated watching, as there is so much visual and dialogue detail, and you miss much of it on first viewing.

Both are definitely recommended.

I went to the cinema last week for the first time since Avatar 3d !!

The Banshees of Inisherin (not my choice)

Nah mate, not for me, very very slow, so slow infact that it felt like nothing really happened at all. I found myself just wishing it would end!

Your experiences may differ !!

Watched it again. Thought the same thing but ventured through it.
Was worth the watch.

Happened upon this thread and this post and watched the film. Loved the original and loved this. Like you say, bang on that balance. Can’t believe I missed it when it came out.

I liked it yesterday, but I don't like it no more.

In Bruge is fantastic though.

I watched the Queen Biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody" On Disney+.

It's nowhere near as terrible as I thought it would be. Worth a watch if you like the music of Queen.
