One of the most unexciting probably but a game changer.
No more waiting for the few minutes where coffee is at the right temperature between scalding hot and too cool, this keep my cuppa drinkable for a couple of hours.

My youngest got me the exact same one for Xmas, used in anger the other day, at an incident scene for 4 hours, minus 6 up to around freezing. Kept my tea hot for most of that time. In fact too hot to drink for the fist 45 minutes. Only issue I’ve got, it won’t fit the cup holders in my own or my work BMW!! Who cares what it tasted like if it’s hot and wet.

Bought a pair of furygan trousers off marketplace for less than a pair of knee sliders.
Fit is a bit snug atm, but should be a good fit once the exercise starts again!

Phone attach gizmo isn't worth a spoon of spit. Protective lens caps fall off just by picking up the binocs. Floppy storage bag is bit cheap (quality-wise), but a hard shell doodad is cheap (price-wise). Woman in the next street over just had a shower.

The one I linked to runs fine with a Makita 18V battery, and with a no brand 18V battery. Some makes use the higher voltage as proof it's bigger and better, the numbers of cells in the battery is the same. Also IME the motors in the tools will run on varying voltages quite happily. If the voltage is too great they run quite a lot faster, I ran a Dewalt 9.6V drill/driver on an 18V battery and it was good as a drill but even on the slowest speed it was too fast for driving screws easily. The bit tended to spin in the screw head at the slightly opportunity. The same battery in a 14.4V drill was fine for both drilling and screwing.
Think of lead acid batteries as fitted to cars and bikes, sold as 12V but when fully charged are over 13V. Stick a voltmeter across you battery terminals when it's fully charged and see what you get.
