NBT: I've got the same bike as Max Otley and Michael Neeves!!

Post by Taipan »

:D

So all things considered, it made sense to get something that offered me a variable position for my feet, so I could ease the load on my knee and also to consolidate my bikes. So the MT-09 is going in for P/X against this and the SH300 will be sold later once I'm convinced the Tmax does the job.

Scoot is a 2022 Tmax 560 Tech Max, with a heated seat and grips, leccy adjustable screen, cruise control, 7" TFT screen with optional (£30 a year) sat nav and Bluetooth phone connectivity for your phone. Also, the seat butt pad is adjustable to give more leg room for longer-legged people like myself. So on paper, it ticks just about every box. Gets rave reviews from the press to boot!

A very impressive spec TP.

A chap local to me has one of the older T-Max models and he loves it. Your one is loaded with toys.

Your good health to enjoy man and he's hoping the tea leaves stay away this time.

No. Its program that lays through the dash if you pay the subscription. But as my phone connects to it I assume I can save my money and use google maps/waze etc? If you're not using the sat nav its a mph/rev counter readout like this...

Handy for when you forget your commute route TP. :D

Looks like a lot of fun - get them to fit a squillion decibel alarm though!

PS Nice misdirection with the Harley.

I had a go on Maccecht's when we were up in Scotland last September. I remember thinking it handled better than his old X-Adv and was very pleasant to ride. The engine felt nicer than the X-Adv too.

Shame his brother wrote it off by barreling into the back of him two days later.

Very cool - and quite quick according to the reviews.

Is that a parking brake lever under the left grip?

It is indeed. Worth having as if they roll downhill into a kerb nose first, they'll take some pulling back up! :?

Nice darts  Thems supposed to be da bomb. Watch out for tea leaves though, few years back I read a hair raising article where Mat Oxley was trying to outrun a gang of bike thieves. He said he hadn't ridden with that much risk since the TT!

I've got an Almax chain and squire lock and abus sledge disc lock for when its parked. If they come after me on the road, not much I can do really, well other than ram them, or run them over or both!

Put on a sticker saying you know Pony from the internet, then they'll know to leave you alone otherwise she comes after them in the Astra with gunny in the glovebox.

Told you in the other thread that this was the best idea. Top bombing and i'll be interesting to hear about it. I'd love one, but they're a bit rich for me unless I cold get one on a good pcp deal.

Only skimmed the OP yesterday. Looking again those TMAX's are proper things  There's a good reason they are so popular and as scoots go that looks like the as good as it gets.

They've always been my favourite maxi scoot as the centrally mounted engine makes them so well balanced. I wasn't actually looking at this model, I was looking at the 530s, but there's a few of these low/delivery mileage, latest models about. The change in spec makes them better value in my mind and with my season ticket being just shy of £5k,it pays for itself in a couple of years.

Eveything I've read about the ergonomics, indicates it will suit me and past ones I've owned were always uber comfortable. I have about 150 miles to do on it today, so I'll soon find out if it suits me, although its really only got to be comfortable for an hour or 32 miles at time...
