Det Insp Butterwick was delighted with the Minor updated light cowls and V8 Supercharged LS1 engine the department had fitted to his undercover pursuit vehicle. The only worry was the drum brakes had been left standard.

To be honest, I'd not noticed that.

One other thing is that the white continues over the roof. Story I'd heard was that originally there were two cars bought, 1 white 1 blue, and they just swapped doors. Like this:

The other interesting thing about that pic is that the Anglia 105E is an extremely rare "standard" model, not the usual de luxe version with the full width grill. No heater, rubber mats etc. Cops were well 'ard in they days.

And yes - the Minors were all 2 door, that 4 door is a replica.
