Why, you tool around in a Chelsea tractor so ain't short a bob or two, yet want to save a few quid on something that can quite easily burn your house down whilst you sleep?

I'll probably only use them a couple of weeks a year, so don't need to spend any more on a pair. I'll charge them at work on the firms leccy! My old Arai was, well, old, so I broke with tradition and went AGV instead. Pretty much because I liked the (Guy Martin) design. It's a K1, so at the basic end, but fits well, Gold labelled and decent reviews so...
Also got a Cardo Freecom 2x to go with it

I recently broke ranks (owned Arai from the 80s) and bought an HJC RPHA11 as paying £1400 for an Arai is beginning to sound like they are taking the piss.

And white socks rolled over the top of your black boots.
Has this anything to do with the imment arrival of a 'new old' bike?

Yellow visor for the agv k5s. Ideal for taking the glare from the sun or enhancing the contrast of scenery/road when it's a dull cloudy day.

A windstopper gilet, been thinking about one for a bit.
Just want something for cooler mornings, hopefully it won't be too thick under the jacket.

I think it's some sort of layer on the outside surface. But this material has been around for ages. I've still got a long sleeve fleece i bought from Hedonist's shop in the early VD days.Horse wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 10:01 pmAny idea how they make the fleece windproof?Rockburner wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 9:34 pm A windstopper gilet, been thinking about one for a bit.

IIRC someone sold 'windstopper' jackets that were really thin, ie without the fleece layer.Rockburner wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 8:12 amI think it's some sort of layer on the outside surface.

Works about like a fleece in terms of keeping warm... rolls up much the same size as a tube of Rolos for those with long memories. They do matching trousers.
