Tip Of The Week - Which You Probably Know

Post by Phoenix »

This is timely given the icy weather.

If you are de-misting or de-icing your front window you will do it much quicker by having the sun shields down. Logic: the warm air will be sent back down or deflected to the windscreen instead of going to the roof. If you have air-con that will also help but it uses more fuel.

If you have a super-duper car or a Nubian slave to do it for you then you can ignore this valuable tip.

More use-ful/less tips to follow. Your tips welcome.

Be Good. Take Care.

If you use a Brita water filter, always buy your filters for the year after the Christmas period. (They're always discounted by about 1/3rd, probably to hook in those people who have been so incredibly fortunate to have been given a filter jug for Christmas  ).

Cheer yourself up at the next funeral you have to attend - hide a tenner in your black suit now.

Never stand towards the back of a ferry looking out to sea.

Don't ask me how I know.

When screwing something to the wall, be sure to use the correct size hammer. Up to number 6, use a toffee hammer, 8 to ten a standard ball pein, 12 and upwards a club hammer. :obscene-drinkingcheers:

If your mrs gets up the chuff, persuade her to use terry nappies for the wee shit machine.

Disposable nappies are inclined to melt when you are polishing the exhausts on your bike.

Thin plastic carrier bags. Wonderful things.

For the car, use a couple to keep frost off your mirrors to save time defrosting in the morning.

On the bike, or out walking, put one over your boot to help it slide through waterproof overtrousers and stop them getting muddy inside.
