Find me a van then...
OK, so lets have a budget of £12,000-17,000 for arguments sake.
Requirements.
1. air-con
2. non-space-ship miles.
3. Medium/Large in size
4. Not in Scotland.
That's about it really in truth.
It can be within reason pretty much anything, but i want to think it'll go without issue for the next fair few miles.
It doesn't want to be an XLWB, possible even not a LWB, think more Movano, Transit, Vivaro, Trafic.
Clean and tidy would be nice.

Just buy the best Transit you can afford, they're better than everything else.

Re: Find me a van then...
I'm giving both the Vivaro and the Transit a consideration that's for sure.
This was nice, but no air-con

I like this one too

But the Vivaro are arguably better value

You're in luck, it looks like they've not sold it since I posted on your last van thread!

Re: Find me a van then...
I prefer the Transit to drive over the Movano, but that is a massive difference in price so the Movano could win

Buy it and I'll drive it down for you for the price of a train ticket back north.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 4:01 pm https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125645486917

They're diesels? I thought you didn't do diesels? Although getting a petrol commercial vehicle is going to be hard work!weeksy wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 5:02 pmI'm giving both the Vivaro and the Transit a consideration that's for sure.

Too low, too many seats, so not enough space... it's half a van really.

Re: Find me a van then...
May I add that our work vans used to be "serviced" by BT Fleet. When I rang a mate who works for BT and told him who we were now using he wasn't very complimentary about them, which was borne out in my experiences. Utterly shocking standard of maintenance, I think the best one was a colleagues LWB hi-top Tranny that had a misfire.....it was a diesel. Despite being told after the third visit, where diagnostics showed nothing, to change the fuel filter just in case, they didn't as apparently it was changed inline with the service schedule. Filter disintegrated and wrecked the fuel injection system and the specialist place it had to go to for that found what was left of the filter had been there a long time, a very long time.
My own van kept going into limp mode after I'd cracked the sump and had it replaced after driving down an unmade road, twice it cut out and died on me on a dual carriageway with no hard shoulder. BT Fleet just reset the ECU without any attempt at diagnostics so I ended up getting another van on safety grounds.

That's a relief, I've just noticed that it's in Lanark, it's a weird place.weeksy wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 5:35 pmThank you... but no.cheb wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 5:33 pmBuy it and I'll drive it down for you for the price of a train ticket back north.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 4:01 pm https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125645486917

How about a Trafic - even appears to have A/C and isn't white!

You think. My step son moved to Wishaw. Never seen so many misfits in the one area in all my life.

£320 a month plus £2200 deposit over 2 years is £8000 paid out.v8-powered wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 6:48 pm Why not.just lease a new one? You'll never be happy with used and may end up with a shitter anyway...
That's a lot of depreciation to cover
If I bought a van for £15k there is no way it'll only be worth £7000 in 2 years?
