Re: New bike(s) day
Just watched a review on tube. Definitely looks like a good quality bike. Will need plenty of polishing. It's a heavy lump aswel but with low seat no probs I suppose. Shaft is exposed, double knots on the boots. Possibly a bike that may not be around too long.

I've not had 200 bikes but I still like the R18.

Re: New bike(s) day
Bit of cleaning for the GS today, it’s got a chain oiler so the rear wheel, swingarm, sprocket etc is covered in lube. The only positive is underneath it’s all like new but I can’t see any reason for the oiler on a bike with such low miles. The rest of the bike has also only ever been cleaned like a car. Gonna have to spend a good couple of hours to get it immaculate then fit the semi off road tyres for some lanes over winter

Re: New bike(s) day
Wheels out of GS ready for a pair of Bridgestone AX41’s. Rear was a pain as axle dry and no signs of grease anywhere…bloke looked after it apparently !. Chain oiler and a roll of fabric tape and Ty wraps removed. It’s never been properly cleaned but looks good under the dirt thankfully. He also added HID lights and taped the ballast next to the dash. Gonna try and find a standard headlight and ditch the HID.
Wheels will be in today along with the 16t standard sprocket not the 17 that’s on it

It's a win win... he now doesn't have to have the horrific piece of shit thing in the garage until Feb when it's sold.Potter wrote: Thu Nov 24, 2022 10:21 amI'd have the hump about that, it happened to me with a watch, I was allocated a very rare watch, then they snatched the offer back and gave me my money back.Couchy wrote: Thu Nov 24, 2022 8:57 amIt got cancelled, I can only assume the huge discount they gave me was too much and someone paid more for it ? Re: New bike(s) day
Tyres and wheel back on the 800, swapped front sprocket for the 16t in the packer that came with the bike……chain didn’t need adjusting….it’s another 17t lol. 16t ordered and it’s only a 5 min job to swap didn’t think to check.
Started on the mammoth cleaning task and then rain stopped play after a few minutes on back wheel only. Still as before it’s cleaning up really well

I think I'd probably enjoy it, but I'd try to leave so no one saw me and I wouldn't stop anywhere or take my helmet off
I know it's fickle but I feel like there is a real stigma to riding one outside of a warm US state.

Riding one on a wet cold day in Bolton is completely different proposition.

Surely won't matter as everyone will be able to see your boat under the chromed WW2 German army helmet that seems part of the uniform
