Re: NBT: The old keeper is going, meet the new one!
I reckon for £160 quid you'll probably get a pre jet wash, wheel wash, snow foam, hand wash and dry followed by the ACF50 by airbrush application from what I've seen on youtube.
What he won't do that Weeksy will do is things like take the wheels out and clean inside the swingarm and under the mudguard etc. I suspect you can ask the bloke to do it but then it won't be £160 anymore.
On the other hand for a bike that might do 3-400 miles a week in all weathers you'll spend your life trying to keep it that clean.
I note several tests seem to show that ACF50 isn't as good as XCP rust blocker but still looks like ACF50 is the brand everyone uses. There's a new XCP which isn't as thick/yellow as well now I note in the latest RIDE but still beats ACF in the corrosion stakes.

Re: NBT: The old keeper is going, meet the new one!
Went out for a ride!! Changing gear, especially downshifts was painful, but as I used to be able to do that without wincing, I decided I needed to keep going to get those muscles snd tendons back doing what they used to.
Roads were shitty, full of wet leaves and standing water everywhere! Saw h the re traction light flicker quite a few times when accelerating! But I still enjoyed myself! It was great to be back in the saddle again! Bike looks like I’ve been on a mx track! If the valeted guy can’t get here I’ll have to do something with it!

You're about right there. His website says;Supermofo wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 12:13 pm I reckon for £160 quid you'll probably get a pre jet wash, wheel wash, snow foam, hand wash and dry followed by the ACF50 by airbrush application from what I've seen on youtube.

Standard Valet
The standard valet is the most popular and consists a full once over valet.
Snowfoam to loosen heavy contaminates and grit to avoid scratches during contact washing.
Degrease, remove chain fling and any other oil or grease.
Clean wheels with non acid quality wheel cleaner containing a fallout remover.
Engine and chassis cleaned using safe non caustic bike cleaner combined with hogs hair brushes.
Wash bodywork.
Blowdry.
Colour restorer on faded plastics and engine brightner if required.
Wax all bodywork with a quality paste wax.
Once over polish of chrome, aluminium and stainless steel.
Clean screens, instruments and mirror glass with detail spray wax.
The result is a lovely clean looking bike.
Winter protection valet ACF50 £80
More and more riders are using this service to keep corrosion at bay, can be used all year round, makes the bike look great and protects against corrosion, can last up to six months depending on use.
Bike valeted and then ACF50 applied using a compressor and spray gun so as to give a good coverage even in those hard to reach places as the ACF forms a mist when sprayed under high pressure.

Re: NBT: The old keeper is going, meet the new one!
Do folk really pay that kind of money for someone to wash their bike? One journey at this time of year will have it back to prewash condition anyway. Do they sub Sammy the Chamois once a week over the Winter?
I don't blame Sammy for taking it......

S'why I wanted it cleaned, then the ACF50 applied. That way it can get dirty and be used as a winter shitter with no detrimental effects!

He must be fairly good as he had a space on Tuesday the 22nd which I couldn't make, and the next was the 26th which I can make.

Re: NBT: The old keeper is going, meet the new one!
This. My right elbow gets really painful after a short ride (albeit, my short rides involve 40+ hairpins if starting from home, 15+ if starting in the valley!!). I messed up the muscles around my left hip and lower back with a spirited ride on the lardy Honda the other day (also cos I'd ridden it the day before, so that meant double the number of times I got the bike out of the shed and back in and double the number of times I got on and off it!!). But if I rode regularly and kept at it, all of that would reduce/go away
I know you know, but take care not to push too far too soon x
Oh, and that bike looks bloody lovely!
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!!

This should help keep the front of the engine clean during the winter months!

That looks like it should come as standard equipment on a Deauville...

If it snows can you remove it and use it to shovel the snow out the way?
