New bike(s) day
So it’s been a while haven’t really had a bike all year and haven’t missed it too much but there have been times I’ve wanted an adv bike just to commute or the odd day in the peak with some lanes. But with prices staying high I wasn’t prepared to pay over the odds, kept an eye out and this ‘15 F800GS popped up having done 10k miles. A deal was agreed and collected today. I’ve had one before and this one rides just the same, has TC/ABS/ESA which all work as they should. A fairly easy sensible purchase I’ll use occasionally
Yeah and then well………..ermmmm I bought another

Re: New bike(s) day
Here we go, every year I’ve demo’d a Harley. In every measurable way rubbish but I like them. So a couple of years ago I saw something I really liked but too expensive.
I’ve been watching prices and after enquiring about a 1 year old one at £6k under list the dealer said they’d do me a brand new one for only a little more, bought because I think it looks ace but it has a boxer engine which I love. If you don’t like them I don’t care it’s mine not yours

Re: New bike(s) day
Can we have 2 separate threads so I only have to open the one with the red bike?

Re: New bike(s) day
Did it come with tassled chaps or have you ordered some from Bikers Dirt Box?

Re: New bike(s) day
BMW have been doing some crazy finance deals on these, I assume they're not selling as well as hoped.
I'd love a go on one.

Re: New bike(s) day
I really like the looks of the R18.
There's a bike which demands the correct trousers. And full outfit really. It's a tightrope.

Re: New bike(s) day
I think I like them, to me they're sort of, kind of, a bit like a modern Sunbeam S7. Wonder if you can get a sprung seat for it.
