A decent set of aftermarket cans on a Falco is 'de rigeur'... :)

I had a Sprint GT for a few months but got rid.

To me it was very top heavy and with wife and top box on it was pretty hard work. And that was coming from a ZZR 1100.

Even putting the top box on was enough to give me a hernia.

I traded it in for a GS and it was night and day.

Lovely bike but not enough to make me keep it.

Sprint GT wasn't nearly as popular or successful as the ST. I had 2 x STs, did 50k miles on them. Great bikes, do everything, OK for pillions, lovely engine without the "step" of the VTEC (I put 25k on that too). First ST 1050 was 2005, the only problem was the headlight which was appalling and stopped me riding in the dark. 2nd, 2009, was better. Get as late a bike as possible and you'll love it. No problems re finish, keep the chain adjuster free, as they can seize.

Any of the Z1000s from 2003 on can be had for a few bags of sand, great fun bikes with few issues.

I did ride a blackbird for a bit and I enjoyed it but it wasn't really exciting under 100mph

How on earth did the same company that made the 916 come up with that? :wtf:
They're quite a decent ride surprisingly, torquey 100+BHP V twin with great brakes and handling, good comfort, mirrors you can see out of, basically a monster frame with a more powerful engine and a fairing and luggage. Might surprise you!

Me too! I'm still pleasantly surprised that I got £800 for an R850RT non-runner.
