There was also a Pug 205 1.9 GTI and a Renault 5 Gordini. Must have been a meet up as it's a national holiday over here.

Made me think of the Current Affairs section for some strange reason.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition.
But certainty is an absurd one.

Re: utterly random picture thread.
Walking the dog today and I went over to where a train derailed a few weeks ago.
Pretty sure they're not supposed to look like this. I can see where they've been removing the contents (cement) to make it lighter so when they've prepared the ground for the crane can lift them out.
I reckon it will take a hell of a crane cos its a bit of distance from anywhere they can site it.

Amazingly, that registration is still current and the bike is taxed.

Probably use a rail mounted crane for that situation.demographic wrote: ↑Sun Nov 06, 2022 3:05 pm

Re: utterly random picture thread.
My first thought on seeing that photo was the 'Girl on a Motorcycle' film starring Marianne Faithful (and Bill Ivy in a wig as stunt rider), but that doesn't look quite like her. Or maybe my memory is not what it was?

It's a Humber Supersnipe and a Vauxhall Victor

Edited my previous post once I worked out it was a Victor, weirdly I knew the Super Snipe straight away.

Yeah, I knew the Super Snipe as it was a car I nagged Dad to buy. He didn't, predictably.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Sun Nov 06, 2022 6:23 pmEdited my previous post once I worked out it was a Victor, weirdly I knew the Super Snipe straight away.

I'm guessing the bike is a Goldie (BSA Gold Star)?
