Re: What bike from your birth year ?
I used to race a 1976 Yamaha RD250... I was born in 1978, close enough?
I'd quite like a 1978 MZ TS250/1 Supa6 tho'

Re: What bike from your birth year ?
Slim pickings 1958 ajs model 31 AKA the hurricane or a 125 air cooled Ducati the Aj had 35 bhp at 6500RPM (cant really believe it revs that high) or I could choose the c15 but it would seize on the way home from the shop!
i quite like the look of the 31
and my late father in law swore by them (or was that at them) He was a DR in the signals in WW2 His was a 350 single AJS

Re: What bike from your birth year ?
Just had a quick look on t'bay
z900 has potential, but I see several nut and bolt restored bikes north of £14k, I wonder how many the market can support!
There's also a XT500 in supermoto trim that if I was buying, I would of had !

Re: What bike from your birth year ?
This Velocette looks pretty good. I've no idea what it would be like to ride, perhaps it would be best as a piece of motorcycle sculpture in the dining room
