Maybe I should have taken a ladder, floor was absolutely covered in broken fallen apples.

Shame about all the waste. Rather than have a free-for-all day they should have people in daily and pick them over a period. Looked at the quince area last Monday at Wisley and there were loads of ruined ones on the floor.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 8:56 pm Maybe I should have taken a ladder, floor was absolutely covered in broken fallen apples.
Previous years they either had 'apple day' where you can get bags and bags of all sorts of varieties inc. quince. Then they started selling them which was fine. Now, they don't seem bothered.

It's a free for all whenever you want. People clearly just don't want.

It it not a case with Apple trees that they fruit better every 2nd year? Seems to be the case with Plum trees.
