Private Plates
It's been a while, I wonder if attitudes have changed.
£250 private plate, direct from the DVLA, includes the transfer fee, would you?

Re: Private Plates
I've got one on my bike.
I think it's tacky
It was Mrs D's 21st Birthday present from her folks, it's on my bike only as a holder. If you don't use it you lose it AFAIK.

Re: Private Plates
I saw a Mclaren with the plate FA57YEP on my last trip to the big island. And I overtook him in a my scabby van.
That showed him.

Re: Private Plates
I can get T888 GMH for £250.
Cos my initials are GMH, innit (Not KFB in real life, although if you bought a Fiat in Doncaster in the mid 00's you'd get a KFB plate).

Re: Private Plates
Depends.
If it's one of those plates where you need to use your imagination to get it to mean anything apart from a failed attempt at something, then nah.
OTOH if it was one like Steve Parish, then probably nah,but maybe.

Re: Private Plates
I have one on retention and one in my BMW. K12 and my initials.
They're not silly money and you can always move them about.

Re: Private Plates
Never quite understood it, but each to their own.
My wife's Yamaha after completing her CBT ended with the letters FEK.
Which she said a fair bit down the intercom the first few rides, so it was like a personalised plate for no money at all

Re: Private Plates
I'd have one if I could find something that didn't need dodgy bolt placement to read right
