How's the lockdown going for everyone ?
How's the food/shopping situation ?
How's the health both mentally and physically ?
I think we're all coping pretty well here, getting plenty of sun and exercise both indoors and a stroll outdoors
Shopping, i think we're all good, i went to the farm shop and got a load of dead animal, i think we'll need something from the context of fresh goods though in the coming days, but not sure how easy or tricky that will be.

Sat in a sunny garden with a cup of tea, the only sound being birds and children playing in gardens. Lovely, in a apprehensive sort of way.
Asda delivery tomorrow, God knows what we'll get. I'm off work until april 20 but lad due back next Wednesday. He's hoping they shut for a while aswel. The lads he works with aren't happy carnt keep 2 metres apart and not essential, refurbishing engines and transmissions.
Strange days indeed.

The lockdown here is a lot stricter than over there, but we're coping. Plenty of jobs around the villa and garden to do. And lots of pottering in the garage. Them 4 bikes won't take care of themselves
I usually walk Elvis between 5 and 10 miles a day, but only allowed 5 mins at a time now. We both give him 2 or 3 walks daily. With no riding allowed either, I was worried about putting on weight due to inactivity. I did put on a few pounds straight away, but eating sensibly and keeping active around the house has shifted the extra weight.
We're lucky to have this big place to mooch about in, but lots of pals here are in smaller places in town and not so much fun.

All good here! Lots of younger people (over 65s are under house arrest) running around getting shopping etc and if there's an emergency or we need cash from the ATM etc we can phone up and get an official escort to do what is necessary.
I've been doing boat stuff and other small projects for other people so keeping busy. The house will need a good going over later though as it's my workshop!

We have a large open space behind the house so we can get plenty of walks in with the dog. Have decorated a bedroom and bathroom and have just started ripping out the garage to get rid of a huge bench to make some space ..it’s a bloody mess at the minute but I figure I’ve got plenty of time ..

Staying at the gf's for the duration, but both of us fully able to work from home, so quite busy with that stuff. Her employer is requesting that everyone takes holiday during the lockdown so we're taking the odd day off here and there, and doing some decorating. Today is one of those days and tbh we haven't got off the sofa yet.
We're good for food, but a little light on booze.

No bother at all. My wife has gone out to work, her being a key worked and all that goes with that. I'm pottering about as I have done for many a year. Plenty food in as ever. It's stopped raining so might do some outside stuff.
My only frustration is not being able to go to the big island and do some stuff I'd like to do.

No bother, still working albeit 1 day in the lab followed by 4 days WFH.
Fridge full of beer, several bottles of bourbon & rum cached, meat can be got from one of several local butchers.
The sun is shining, may as well just get on with it, although having wife and or daughter at home is knocking me off from my usual WFH routine, having to get dressed and masturbate less puts a real downer on it.

Key worker status so on duty, M1 is very quiet though, mostly LGV traffic plus the large numbers of other key workers out and about!!!!!
Phone conference earlier, probably going to start limited home working soon for us managers, reduce the numbers off staff actually in cars working, sit them at home on standby instead. Sensible as ,y whole team is in every day at present, if one gets it we are all off!!
Mentally, worried, bored, low stress levels at the moment though,
Mick

Key worker* so I'm out and about, doing...not very much actually.
The roads are really quiet, and the sun is shining. It's bloody great.
*so are skip lorry drivers apparently. Who knew?

Re: How's the lockdown going for everyone ?
Both of us are retired now,so no job concerns as such, just for the offspring scattered around the world. Having to send food parcels to England,as my eldest son is struggling to get the essentials and we have no way to bring him home.
I walk 5 to 6 miles every morning while I'm still allowed to do that, very few people or traffic about. I still have to hit the shops more regularly than I would like,as I get stuff for my old da and elderly neighbour, but I'd rather I do that that have them risk catching the Wu-flu.
Getting their prescriptions usually involves queuing, sometimes for an hour or more, but so far other shops haven't been too bad.
The social distancing thing has really caught on here now (probably too fucking late) and I quite like folk keeping their distance anyway. I'd like to keep that part when it's all over!
I've no bother amusing myself, always schitt to do and although I can't gig, fortunately I don't depend on the money to put food on the table like some others. I don't bore easily and I like my own company.

Re: How's the lockdown going for everyone ?
Its oddly normal for me, I've worked at home for the last 18years and now in a semi-retired state I just carry on as usual. I walk my dogs in a rural area and meet no one, as usual.
My wife works from home too though spends most of her time on a computer now with some of her business tranferred onto Zoom.
Our 15year old being here during the day just makes it a bit like the long summer holidays.

Another Zoom user here. Some businesses are making hay!
At least I can work remotely and be relaxed about it. Went for a short walk over my lunch hour and spotted a couple of learner driver companies still tootling around with students.... death is coming to those who don't listen. or at least being spread by them.
The streets were fairly quite, the air is crisp and clear and enjoying the low pollution in London. What a bonus.

Re: How's the lockdown going for everyone ?
Been busy washing cars and bikes (1 a day to stretch it out) , doing odds and sods and little jobs just to finish some things off but as i am mostly retired its just fairly normal for me. The only major difference is more time at home, no time at gym and limited contact with the neighbours as all are 70+.
I can break the boredom with getting out on the MTB as managed 17 miles yesterday and didnt come into contact with a single person due to the barren nature of the area i like to use. Might have to get some food stocks in next few days as we have not stockpiled and just getting normal stuff which is due at the end of the week
Thought all my work was scrubbed but was called last night to see if i would do a CBT on Friday for 4 "key workers" so will come up with a distancing plan to keep the oiks away from me until we get on bikes which will be fine then

If you explain you are Scotch, they'll automatically do the social distancing anyway.

I can walk faster than most of them the first time they get out of the gate as most are terrified if they have never been a road user before
