WSB : Aragon the return.... who's the pick ?

Post by weeksy »

It's hard to see past Rea and if you do, it's then hard to see past Redding.

Chaz as a bit of a wildcard if he can work out how to qualify inside the top10?

What's happened to Toprak ? Why's Melandri doing rubbish ? What about Sykes and his brake issues ?

Bautista is getting better and better, can him and the Honda now push for a win ?

That Honda looks like its going to be competitive and a 2nd round at the same circuit will help too

So pleased for Redding. Yesterday he was in tears. He really does wear his heart on his sleeve.
He's mentioned lack of front feel recently, but praised Davies and Rinaldo on same bike for doing well.

But perennial whiner Rea moaned that Redding was only faster on the straight. Tosser.

Good racing for sure up to now.

Not convinced a 5X WSB champion gets the title of 'tosser' though.

When asked a question about speed what is he supposed to do ? The Ducati is faster on straights, it's not like we can ignore that ?

Redding passed him on the corners. Even Whitham said bikes were same speed.

For years he had the best bike by far. But last year he cried every race that Bautista win.

I didn't hear JR whine at any point in the meeting. He said he was laughing under his helmet at the dicing he and Redding 'enjoyed' during great racing. He was magnanimous in defeat with both rising star Rinaldi and Redding. A gentleman to a fault.

It's obvious the Ducatis have a speed advantage, just as it's obvious they don't turn as well as the Kawasaki or Yamaha,it's the rider makes the difference. Granted this speed advantage is not what it was and masked by other issues, such as tyres and rider size.

To say JR only won the 5 world titles because he had a better bike than everyone else is,at best disingenuous,at worst partisan to the point of being similar to the tribalism of football fanatics. Not an edifying attitude for bike sport. Naming probably the most successful WSBK rider to date a tosser, reflects much more on the wielder of the insult, imo.

As a rider JR is head and shoulders above the rest for a reason, that's because he never gives up,as exampled last season with Bautista. He has the mark of a true and great champion, consistency.

I bet he's as disliked as Fogarty. Just because you've never heard him moan, doesn't mean he doesn't. He's famous for it.

I never said owt about his riding. Just commenting about his attitude.

I'd say more people loved Fogarty than hated him, hence the massive surge in attendance at meetings etc

I went plenty of times. Loved to see him race. Didn't like him as a person.
