I must be the only biker on the planet who's had a black cab, in London, do this: but then see me, and wave me past in a friendly fashion. (I'd seen him cut left, so was fully expecting the u-turn and had hung back).

Weirdly enough it was opposite the Savoy too - prime u-turn-take-out-the-bike territory. Maybe he'd reached his quota for that day?
On the plus side if he had hit you, the Coal Hole is within an easy crawl distance ;)

Oddly enough, revisited the place for the first time in decades when I had a couple of uni friends up and we went visiting some of the old drinking haunts... Kings must have been the only college in the UK where the beer was cheaper in the pubs!!

Flippin' 'eck, I think the first and last time I met Rockburner was there - maybe 20 years ago!

I went there about 20 years ago for a VD drinks do when i barely knew anyone, next time i was there was Jan 2020 for another VD old Skool meet up after Mr Tack passed away .... superb night and met up with a huge group of old friends. i think there were about 50 in attendance :obscene-drinkingcheers:

On second thoughts, it might have been the Ship and Shovell. Does anyone admit to having been there, too?
