A) first I have heard of that one, can you expand
B) Must be an individual riding position thing as we all have our preferences because I have never thought that ….. quite comfy for me in fact but mine is the GT version with slightly higher risers and slightly wider bars

And it’s still the same Ducati engine that works best over 3k revsBigyin wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 10:51 pmA) first I have heard of that one, can you expand

Get an early GSXR750 - the rev counter doesn't start until 3000rpm

Nah not these days with the advent of the DVT system the Ducati twins are butter smooth from the off, some Ducati folk prefer the lumpier delivery of the older engine but I prefer the DVT engine, dropping a tooth off the front is the icing on the cake (or two on the rear)Mr Moofo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 2:43 pmAnd it’s still the same Ducati engine that works best over 3k revsBigyin wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 10:51 pmA) first I have heard of that one, can you expand

Actually , two times round the race circuit - and I might be liking it again. Blimey it’s quick!
But one tooth off the front sprocket could be on the cards …

Re: The IOM may be the Diavel's Swansong ...
I only rode an XDiavel S for a few hours and anything over 90 mph i struggled to keep my feet on the pegs as the windflow would lift my leg up. I did try the launch control and whilst i cant see a real world use apart from traffic light drag racing its a hoot to use just for shits and giggles every now and again
The tooth off the front sprocket is becoming a "thing" on a lot of Multi's and therefore the Diavel which share the Testasretta 11o engine

The most I have had out of the Diavel ( going from Aachen to Cologne) was 150. It is a struggle to hold on - and the tank shape means your legs get constantly pushed out. But that was with an big screen on.
It now has a smaller Ducati screen on. But 140 mph is irrelevant!

Re: The IOM may be the Diavel's Swansong ...
The conclusion is that it stays - on open roads / motorways / fast road / the mountain circuit it is brilliant. You just have to ride it a little like a IL4 around town / slow bits and keep the revs high.
However, that doesn't mean I am not looking as after 11 years maybe it is time for a change.
I did thing of the Hypermotard - but 25K !!
My main issue is that many modern bikes look stupid with tall / big people sat on them!

Not too sure of the V4 in the Diavel...
I am guessing the V4 is much revvier than the V2 - which already needs to be kept about 3.5k. Seems the wrong engine for the type of bike

That's how I think I look on the Monster! I know I'm not remotely tall, but the Monster is Dinky! HTF you folded onto one for racing I have no idea!!!
