Fuck me, it is difficult, and must be nigh-on impossible for an oldie with arthritis. My version required me to snap off a central lock tab, which refused to snap, and then operate two corner latches at the same time. Since I did not have 3 hands I ripped the entire lid, catches and frame off, again impossible for an old lady, with or without arthritis. All to save a hypothetical kiddywinky living with a congenitally stupid parents who cannot keep kids and poisonous stuff apart - like wot we did, and our parents did before us.
So there's no net benefit over a box of powder and a scoop that doesn't need child locks because it doesn't look like sweets.
I love it when adverts say keep it out each of children when they are the ones making it attractive to them. I don't know what's worse, companies pointlessly designing them like that in the full knowledge babies will stick them in their mouths or parents that buy them.

Meh...you make your own bed. Solicitors are only able to operate because they have willing clients.
I've seen plenty of people on here saying "making a claim for this or that" and its a fine line between genuine claim and money grasping.
When I had little kids, all the iffy stuff (detergents, bleach, solvents, medicines) was kept out of harm's way. In the shed, cupboards with locks etcetera. Now they're adults obviously I don't bother and am effectively careless, I've got out of the habit. My desk as I sit here is like a pharmacy as I need the effing things in front of me in order to remember to take them.
We do have folk with kids over to stay but to be honest as a sans-infants adult I get more excitable about whether there's enough towels and bedding. I'm careful about opportunities to get burnt or fall down the stairs but tbh I'm slack about the other stuff - there's certain cupboards they could rifle through and be dead within minutes. One drawer in particular has so many pills in it, an elephant could be upped or downed for a month.
So I guess these are the sorts of scenarios where it goes tits up. I'm not sure chuckling over Darwinism and responsibility really works when we're talking about dead toddlers and kittens.

Ebay sellers and folk who cant use O/S and N/S. Bought a calliper for my O/S. Seller has them marked as L & R. So if sitting in the van R is what i want but its wrong in the picture. Looking at what he is selling it turns out L is what i want Messaged the guy talking about the L calliper i said if its identical in that picture then its the ne for me even thought it for my O/S (His Rights) That must have confused them as they sent me teh fucking right what is now the mirror image to what i ordered. Conveniently the ebay department is out of office just now and grease monkey could only take my number to get this sorted however i have now sussed why the mix up. Its the same Calliper used on Land rovers. They have trailing Callipers where i have leading so L&R would be mixed up Still not my fault as i was assured the same as in picture. Pricks

You can get a job with the seller then as so are they. Just got a bloke Via email who understood and getting the proper calliper sent out tonight. Managed to get a discount if i keep the one i got (May as well swap both) and the return postage discount on top. From what i can make out the callipers only fit the Landrover and LDV but clearly L&R work for the landrover but opposite for the LDV.

I am not against safety stuff, much of it is good.
What I sm against is unecessary safety stuff that makes things more difficult for people. Mrs CJ is by no means infirm but has huge problems with some "child- proof" caps that most kids will open easily

Like opening a bag of Tetley T Bags when to much glue is used. Good luck using the reseal strip on that gaping hole. Another is the little lip on the plastic milk bottles. If the machine screws the lit on a tad tighter good luck getting a nail under that seal when the fold out lip has been cut off.
