Absolutely! Like I said I was caught out after moving the car, leading me to believe it was warmer than it was.Dodgy knees wrote: ↑Thu Jul 28, 2022 1:25 pm Maybe you boys needs to adjust your speed to the

So essentially it was the wife’s fault because she can’t reverse out the drive……….useless bastard that she is

Found an ace new road into Saffron Walden from Debden that I didn't know about. Might have ridden it 3 times

They are only about three miles apart
I use the Debden - Thaxted road as part of the return run on my Essex training sessions.

A back lane bimble late on Tuesday afternoon into Herts - back just in time for the England semi-final.
Sorry about the scratches on the screen... looks like some delivery driver has rested a parcel on it, judging by the marks... sigh... again! I'll polish them out... again.

Exactly, it's why I did it 3 timesThe Spin Doctor wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 6:21 pmThey are only about three miles apart

I came up from Elsenham to Debden Green then left to S Walden. Usually I come from Wendens Ambo, Thaxted or Radwinter if coming back. Or lots of variation of. Just never this particular one which is odd as stopped at Debden Barns a few times

Apparently there is a bit of a celebration of Crowtree leathers at Cadwell Park this weekend.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
A coolish start to my early morning ride,so the lining was back in the jacket and heated grips on. I think I've managed maybe 3 outings this year with the lining out and some of them I regretted.
Anyway, aside from plenty of bicycyclists, the roads were quiet. It was the Armoy road races yesterday, but it was raining here until the late afternoon,so I didn't go. Davy Todd cleaned up,winning 4 races and breaking the lap record. He's on a roll this year. The boys were starting to take down the airbags and stuff as I was going through today.

Mate, you need to move somewhere warmer ….. for the last month I have been wearing leather jacket in the morning on the way into work and armoured mesh kit while working as it’s been so warm. Even my gloves are the mesh ones I use once in a while normally but all the time currently

Only when it's too hot. Right now I don't think I'd want to be in the South of France - just too bloody hot. But September, October and even into November - you bet. Prime motorcycling weather.Skub wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 9:02 pmMeh. Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Once again, another day that ticks the boxes for how and why I ride a bike these days, nicely captured in this shot.
Out for about 4 hours wandering around the lanes of Middle England
It was a good one, the weather, the bike, the roads, that were largely traffic free, the surroundings, even the smells all played a part today in confirming that I am currently in a very happy place on my motorcycling journey.
Even after over 30 years of riding it’s good to know that with the right combination this pastime can still bring serious enjoyment to this jaded old git.
