If it doesn't need lubricating, won't wear out and won't need adjusting why are there adjustment carriers on the swinging arm in the picture?
Interesting concept though, I wonder how much, if any, improvement on normal chains it will be.

Unless you do silly miles (and I used to as a courier
) the sprockets wear out mostly because the chain stretches and no longer fits neatly in the 'valleys' of the teeth but rides up the side - that's what creates the 'breaking wave' effect on a very worn sprocket.
The main problem with X ring chains is the X ring deteriorating and letting the sealed-in grease escape - then the internal faces wear very rapidly. If these synthetic diamond-coated wearing surfaces were really that hard and friction free, they wouldn't need the grease, nor the X rings.

Might have been easier, and cheaper, to make the chains enclosed. Though that might have ruined the look they were after for their bikes.
Blundering about trying not to make too much of a hash of things.

When I was a kid, chains were made from spaghetti.
Modern chains are much better. All my GSXR1000s lived on track, thrashed many times harder than any road bike. But only needed adjusting every few thousand miles .
I only lubed it when I fit a new tyre which was around 750 miles.

The chain on my Bandit is older than 4 of my kids.
